Looking for any distant cousins that may live in the Inverclyde area.

They are related through my Mums side of the family the SWANS.

Have looked at census records and Scotlandspeople to find that the following were alive in Greenock in the 1880's.

Jane Stewart Swan (1843) was born in Mid Calder & her husband Robert Millar moved to Greenock sometime after their 1st child Magdelene was born around 1878.

They had 3 more children born in Greenock from around 1880 to 1887 and their names were Robert, John & James Millar.

Any pointers would be welcomed.

Start by looking in search trees

The 1880's are a bit remote from the present..............haven't you found any more recent data? For example, 1911 census....................

Forgot about the 1911 census, try and avoid using it in Scotlandspeople but use Ancestry to look them up.
