Ronald Bewick is my uncle, his brother is Brian Bewick (Bryan) who was born in 1944. The other siblings are Eva, Norman, Leslie.

Ronald Bewick born 25 September 1932, in Tyne and Wear, and died in 1997 at the age of 64 in Tyne and Wear.

Mother and father are Isabella Jennings and Thomas N Bewick who were married in Tynemouth 1923.

I am searching for Ronald's partner, whom I am not sure of her name, but I do know they have a daughter called Carol, who is older than me, and I was born in 1972.

Barbz

Possible marriage details and possible birth of daughter sent by private message.

EDIT - have sent a second message with a different family.

I'm curious that you only name five siblings. Is it an oversight or are you not aware of another two? You name Ronald, Bryan, Eva, Norman and Leslie....but what about Elsie and Thomas? They must be siblings of the above because the marriage of the parents is THE only Bewick-Jennings marriage recorded.

As for Carol ~ is that the correct spelling or could it be Carole with an "e"? You say she's older than you but how much? There are too many ifs and buts unless you narrow the search down. :-S

Why has this been RR'd ???

I did not know about the other 2 siblings due to most of my work is census related, and as the census for the 1920s-1950s will not be released for some time, it will take a lot and long journey to discover.

Carol could have a 'e', and the last time I saw here was about 25 years ago, and she was married with kids then. Hope that helps, I understand its not much to go on.

when it came to my family, I was kept in the dark about a lot of things and although I asked whilst growing up, it felt they had something to hide or ashamed, which again, I do not know.

But this is a personal journey/investigation of how far back the Bewick name goes, including any others related.

Are you 100% certain that 'Carol' was Ronald's daughter?

There is nothing to support this idea on the birth registration index...unless her parents were unmarried, in which case, her birth would probably be under her mother's surname

Carol (e) was definitely Ronald's daughter, I am 100% sure about that

I wonder how you are so sure....................there is - as already clearly stated - no evidence to support the idea.

Unless, of course, she was his child by someone other than his wife - if he had one - which would explain the 'secrecy'

I am sure as we share the same grandparents - Thomas Bewick and Isabella Jennings.

Before Isabella passed away, she told me it was Ronald's daughter!
