Ok everyone I think I have worked it out somehow I have 2 accounts on here I have now just signed out and signed back in and found all of your messages so many many thanks to you all

Hi all Im rather confused firstly thank you for replying to my message above regarding tracing my birth father living relatives etc, although I dont have any messages in my inbox? I had problems on the site yesterday and had to delete one account and make a new one, I had signed up for a standard package but have now had to sign up again to send this message as it showed i was only a Free member? If those of you who have sent me messages/information wouldn't mind sending them again to me I would be very grateful to you all

there are half siblings through both parents
but can not link her birth mother to become a Smith ?
Still, I think Michelle has enough data to digest.

I have found her half-sister ............she is on here plus sent her address
( she can then decide how she wants contact )

Better than contacting her birth father...........perhaps the half sister can help her later on.

Found another half-sister via mother
sadly she was only 15 when their mother died

I too sent a message direct to Michelle ( yesterday evening)
It remains unopened.

Hello Michelle... Welcome to the boards.

If you look on freebmd site you can check the index for your father's birth, then use just his surname and mother's maiden name ( shown on index) to find likely brothers and sisters for him.

You can then check any of those names on this GR site by looking on Search Trees towards the top of your screen.
There may be other members who have those names listed in their tree and you can click on their name to write a personal message to ask more. This will go direct to their mailbox and not be seen on the boards.

Hi all Im currently looking for my Birth father and any living relatives Im aware there were many brothers/sisters although I dont have names my mothers name is Gillian maureen Causer(birth name) and Im aware when she passed away in 1982 her name was Smith my fathers name is Francis Alfred Mocroft no idea of his year of birth etc I Im aware of 1 brother as we were fostered in the same family unit unfortunately he passed away in 2006 I know both my parents were born in Dudley and Im aware that my mother passed away in the Wolverhampton area 1n 1982 Have children of my own which is whats motivated me to get searching. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated my birth name is Michelle Mocroft I was born in Tunbridge Wells kent in 1971 :-)
