I asked Heather if Mary had Jimmy before her marriage. Answer yes.

Herman Quist married Mary Gould in 1908 so Jimmy would be born before then and would not be alive.

Mary died in 1970 aged 88 so she would have been born about 1882.. so her marriage to Herman would be when she was around 26. There is a Mary Gould registered in 1882 born to Mary and John.

Now the only two Goulds that are registered with the mother's name as Mary and no father listed are Silas James Llewellyn Gould (he could be called Jimmy) he was born 19 Jan 1899 when she was 16 or 17. The other one was a Thomas Harold born in 1903.

Silas James Lewellyn Gould married Lucinda May Chapman in 1919. He died in Manurewa in 1972.

I think they must have had a son Silas James Gould born 14 Sept 1921 he married Patricia Baldwin 1946 and he died 1989. His wife died in 1997.

Thank you for the replies. I have just started looking for him so will try what you have suggested. Sorry for the late answer but I work 10 hours a day and sometimes hard to get onto computer at night.

I am trying to locate Jimmy Gould son of Mary Quist, nee Gould.
He is somewhere in New Zealand. Would appreciate getting in contact with him or any other family member's.
