Hi Michael ... the 'National Archives of Aus' (on-line) shows Stanley Brown enlisted in Melbourne - as a widower - wife Eileen Margaret d 3/12/43........ then later shows later wife as Dorothy. Seems the name & daughter's names were spelt EILEEN?

The 'Ryerson Index' (on-line) shows an Eileen Wilson d 28/10/2010 age 89yrs at Southport Community Res. Home ..... if you think this could be your 'Aileen'...... you can ask 'Ryerson's for a 'look-up' of the newspaper death notice -then give date & newspaper details (as shown).

Looking for descendants of Aileen Brown who was the daughter of Stanley Brown born 1896 in York and Aileen Margaret Bicknell. They were married c1920 somewhere in Victoria, Australia.

Aileen Brown married someone with the surname Wilson and is believed to have had 10 children all in Australia. I do not know any of their names or even sexes.

Stanley and his daughter Aileen were estranged after Stan and Aileen snr were divorced but got together late in life and returned to York for a Brown family reunion in 1977. Since then the family in England has lost contact with Aileen Wilson who if still alive would be in her 90's I guess.
