Hi I am trying to find my maternal grandfather a jack or jock Adamson
levin scotland
cook in WW11
posted to northerin Ireland
spent time in Canda
lived scotland
I know not much to go on : /
Oh and there were neighbours called Una and Connie

Have you got your Mother's birth or marriage certificate which should have information about him on it, unless he did not marry her Mother?
Do you know when and where he died?
Unfortunately Adamson is not an unusual surname.

thank you all for your replies here and no they didnt marry and yes Ive tried to find him via WW11 records to no avail and hes not on my mothers birth certificate : /
I have tried to search the tree box but im not having any luck really. I shall keep on looking in any case and thanks again for your posts

oh I do know he was born (well I think I know) inLevin scotland and the gentleman who lived next door was a Mr McGarret whose grandaughters were Connie and Una
Its an up hill search I know but I'll keep plugging away :-)
