Find Living Relatives

I am urgently looking for anyone who may know anything about Marian Paine Green.

She was born in 1921 and married Brian Moss in 1943 and they had one son, Howard, my father-in-law.

Marian subsequently remarried a Cyril Harry Pearson (witnessed by a Marian Hoey and Sheila Garner in Monton Green, Eccles, Lancashire) and after that my trail goes cold. It is worth noting that on her marriage to Cyril she listed her age as younger (would have given a birth year of 1929) and she did not state that she had been married before on the marriage certificate.

My father-in-law was very young when she left and unfortunately his father died before he could tell him what had happened/where his mother was. My father-in-law would love to know if she is still alive and/or what happened to Marian and I would appreciate any help anyone could give. This matter has recently become time-sensitive so if anyone knows anything please do let me know. Thanks

Thank you so very much Flick and Gwyn - it does indeed sound as though that is her! (Her birth date was 23 September 1921!). It may not give my father-in-law all the answers but at least it gives him some closure - and I am sure it will mean a huge amount to him.

I will also now have a chance to try to find out a little bit more (based on all the info you have provided) and to try to solve the puzzle as best as I can before it is too late for him.

I've just ordered the marriage and death certificates so I'll definitely try that avenue. She left when my father-in-law was 3 and I know he has always wanted to understand more. Thank you so much!

Possible child born in 1958 called Geoffrey.

Edit: Maybe not. There's also another Pearson/Green birth in the same district in 1952.

Yes looks like I am going to have to dig around and see if there is anyone vaguely related who may be able to assist (Marian was the only child of older parents). It may be that we'll never know "why" and what happened/what she was like but I'm certainly going to give it my best go while there's time

Can't believe he was/is an only child too! I'm hoping Marian's death certificate may offer me some lead/clue although I will have to tread carefully as I am not sure what/if anything she ever told people about her earlier life and I don't want to upset anyone.
