Do you know if James Seabrook, born 1763, had any children?
You could probably put this query on the Find Ancestors board as he is completely dead.
Have you found him in any censuses?

OK, presumably means his grandson, not head of house's grandson?

If you have worked back to 1763 you must have some idea who his decendants are?

Thanks for responses to Seabrook Hemel Hempstead - I do have a fair sized tree going back to James but am stuck on searching further back because I can't find any details of james in Hemel Hempstead (England) From census records his birth year seems to vary from 1763 to 1771. I don't know who his parents are and he came to Chevening in Kent around 1800 and married Hester but the only details I have on Hester is that she was "not a woman of this parish" so I don't have a maiden name.

The living relatives I would like to make contact with are those of the Osborn family. Yes! I have family still living but my father's family will have children still living and their children. also. - The search is made difficult by the fact that I am in New Zealand and my Osborn families are in England. I have traced this tree back to 1690 in a direct line but am keen to find branches and twigs.
