Although, as she specifies Kirkliston, I doubt that there is a connection, as the surname is not unusual

I am keen to hear from any Baxters who come from the Scottish Borders (Kirkliston) and are related to my Grandfather. He was the youngest of 5. 3 older brothers and a sister. Their mother died after my Grandfather's birth and their father later remarried. Father was a baker to trade and their mother's family came from Dundee where the oldest child was born.
