Deanna Report 12 Jun 2010 10:49

Firstly, I am so happy for your friend Carole, we should have known that she could not part with her unexpected gift of a beautiful daughter. bless them all, mother father and very lucky baby.X

Joyce, I told you to stop worrying love. You have enough to worry about today , wait until Monday. As for that son of yours.... don't even THINK about it.
HOW DARE HE do that to you and Jan?
Just add them to the pile of offences the police have in their hands. X

Sharron I sympathies with you love.... toothache?... no thank you, it is so difficult a pain to handle. Hope you get it seen to quickly.X

Hazel, I hope your girl goes from strength to strength, it is a terrifying thing for anyone, but she is so young.X

Right everyone, Joan, Colin, Ben, and anyone else I have not mentioned, I have to go and do some work. WELL, just enough to keep us both happy over the weekend. When we do a big clean it almost kills us both, but the idea of a cleaner is a bit frightening really.
Allan has gone shopping and I had better have done something.... anything... when he gets home. ha ha ha
You know, the way I talk every one must think he beats me on a regular basis. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have a good'un... but don't tell him I said so. ;-0)

see you all later.
Hugs to all,
Deanna XXXX

Hi all, back from holiday now and trying to catch up. So pleased that all is working out well for your friend and her tiny baby Carole, I am sure it was just the shock that made her think of adoption and that the baby is now much wanted bless her.

Joyce, just let the police deal with it and don't worry about it, I know that is easier said than done but you have enough to worry about. I am sure Caz is probably right about the disc too.

Hi Deanna, Colin, Gail, Hazel, Mary and anyone else I have missed.

Deanna Report 12 Jun 2010 15:41

Hi Ann, so you have been on holday?
Have a nice time?.... sun tanned?
Well gety back to work... ;-0)

It is a lovely day here today. I think I am going to have a nap. It is not a habit of mine but I did get up very early this morning.
The light shines through the curtains, and I cannot go back to sleep, so I got up. The idea was to sit quietly and read... but although I was awake, I think my mind was still asleep!
Allan is making our coffee now so I am off.
See you all later.
Done your holiday washing yet Ann?
Enjoy it.... ;-0)

Still had a tan from Tenerife Deanna but Dorset topped it up a bit!! Yes, done most of the holiday washing, a small load left to do. Also got the garden back into shape today, well I did about an hour and a half and T did a lot more!!!

Deanna Report 12 Jun 2010 20:42

Carole Report 14 Jun 2010 22:14

Baby now 1lb 14 oz. Great to know she is gaining weight ;))

Did I tell you all I'm going on holiday at the week end? Down to Heathrow Saturday, and fly to New York Sunday. Two weeks. Me, OH and daughter. Think it's warmer there.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 15 Jun 2010 20:42

Carole, bless her, so tiny still but glad she is gaining weight.
Enjoy your holiday, about time I had another one!!

Deanna I exhaust myself...... we were up to our eyes this afternoon re-arranging flights for four of us in October/November because the one booked has been cancelled well actually we don't think it ever existed, we think that the online travel firm had not latched on to the fact that return times were in November and BA didn't operate to Paphos then.. It has taken all afternoon and I was not even doing it, T was, but I was getting the 'backlash'! then because we had changed flight times we had to change taxi arrangements, then, because originally daughter had booked separately they wouldn't let T change their taxi arrangements, although they knew we were flying together. Anyway done now, airport changed from Gatwick to Bristol, airline from BA to Easyjet and time from 9am to 13.30. Hotel stayed the same

Ann.... I don't wanna hear about your holiday problems... thank you!!
We have been having *STAY-CATIONS* for years.... ;-0)
So... If it rains on you in any of the hot, hot, hot countries..... Allan and I don't care!

Jealous you say??? D**N right we are jealous.

I'm off to bed now for a bit of a read... and a warm.
I have been FREEZING all day.... *Flaming June?* I don't think so.

Good night everyone, have a good rest.
Love to all and Ann, you know I'm kidding don't you?

Hugs to all,

AnninGlos Report 15 Jun 2010 22:18

Lol Deanna, yes I know. Sorry shouldn't go on, never sure whether or not to talk about holidays, I do know how lucky we are and do realise that others are not so fortunate.

And yes, I have been cold here too, there was a cold wind out there today.

Deanna

Deanna Report 16 Jun 2010 18:20

Go on Ann, talk about your holidays all you want.
I am only joking anyway.
If I wanted to go on holiday I could, but because of the wheelchair I would find it a terrible chore.
We have discussed going to Ireland , the four of us.... by car so that we could have the car over there.
It would be great and son & dil could share the driving.... BUT.
Because of my (little) problem, I am a bit afraid to try. But I would like OH to go. He comes from there and often gets homesick. They would go by plane if I did not go, but they will not hear of it!
AND.... you talk all you want about ANYTHING you feel like talking about. Other peoples envy is NOT your responsibility Ann.
So, off you go, travel away, I was born travelling so don't worry about me. My husband was in the merchant navy and has been everywhere, many times. Son and dil have been around too.
So you enjoy.
To all you others, have a wonderful holiday and tell me all about it later.
Love & hugs to all who need them,
Deanna XXXX

I have had a dose of flu and this morning woke up on my back, which is unusual, and was having trouble breathing and my chest felt very tight and heavy. When I finally came fully awake, it was to discover that I had a very large ginger cat asleep on my chest.

Gail

PS I also love hearing about others holidays. Carole hope you have a great time.

Deanna

Deanna Report 17 Jun 2010 19:47

Hope your chest recovered slightly after you managed to dislodge the cat Gail...
If you like to hear about people's holiday stories... my friend Noreen came down today with one of her own.
Long story but cutting it short, her passport went missing and it took a long exhausting time to get a temporary replacement.
A story of exhaustion, worry and starvation. Poor souls, what a time they had. Still, they are back home and everything is okay.
She has sworn that she will NEVER leave home again!! Yeah right.. she loves her holidays.
NEW YORK Carole? Enjoy yourself.

I am going to bed after a few e-mails. So good night everyone.

AnninGlos Report 17 Jun 2010 21:19

Deanna, I am paranoid about my passport, dread losing it while away, not that it can't be replaced but all the inconvenience and hassle of explaning about it in a foreign country. We belong to M&S cardsafe which is mainly to protect lost credit cards but it also protects passports as well, thankfully have not had to put it to the test as yet and hope we don't. Trouble is we use credit cards when away and places like supermarkets want to see a passport as proof of identity. So I usually carry mine all the time.

It's a really good idea to take a photocopy of your passport details pages and keep in a different place to the real one when away or at home.

Deanna Report 21 Jun 2010 11:08

Hi Hazel, I really, really feel for you.
Been there, done that.... couldn't even afford the T:shirt.

Just keep at it love, I PROMISE.... I truly PROMISE, that things will get better.
I cannot say, when, or what, or who will change things for you, but it will change.
You will even look back on these days and find something to laugh at.
Chin up Hazel. Look after HAZEL. All it takes a little time each day to remember that you too need looking after. A treat... even if it is only time alone in the bath, with a good book!
You will come out refreshed. ((X))

Ann, So is my friend. She is so very organised and capable... but, her husband was carrying the passports. I don't mean that he is NOT capable... but... well Paul... it was YOU who lost it! ha ha ha

As for you Liz.... I am taking no advice from YOU..... You can't even fix a bloomin phone up!!
Where are you?? :-P.... X

The sun is shinning here and it is lovely. I have been doing a bit of housework.. THREE HOURS... it took me to do this tiny little bungalow.
1 bed, 1 kitchen, 1 living room!!
AND, I'm not finished yet.
I don't mind the getting old, I couldn't care less about the fat or the wrinkles.... but, the things I can no longer do, really upsets me. I am sure I am not alone. I do find though, that I can handle it easier than my husband, men cannot let go as well as women can. Do any of you agree?

Well, Best put some washing in to soak... very little but it has to be done.

Have a calm day, and I hope to see you later.

Hazel thinking of you and have sent you a PM.

Well, one ginger fluffy cat now thinks her sleeping place is no longer near the fire, but my chest!!!! So we now have to close the bedroom door to keep her out. Really not very funny when you wake up with a Basil Brush tail wrapped around your nose. She is also no light weight, so have a very sore chest again. Plus her very fine fur makes me sneeze. And no, I cannot put her out in the frost. Why after 14 years she has decided to do this is any ones guess.

Now all of you with passports you should just be like me, I do not own one. Problem solved.

AnninGlos Report 21 Jun 2010 13:55

Couldn't go anywhere then Gail, we who live in a tiny country like to get away occasionally and they wont let us out or in without a passport!!!

Deanna I do agree about men finding getting old and not being able to do things harder than women. They do need jollying along a lot don't they?

I saw the following in the paper today:

GranOfOzRubySlippers

GranOfOzRubySlippers Report 21 Jun 2010 14:09

So true Ann, then we are in a very large country and I am still to explore Western Australia, the Northern Territory and the north of Queensland, so much to see. I do have ambitions of seeing Scotland one day so will need a passport then. Closest I have been overseas was to Tasmania (Ozzie joke) Tasmania is beautiful. My OH said that the top eastern part of Tas reminded him of England. I would love to go back there one day. My OH wants to see Venice.

I also get frustrated when I have difficulty doing things, but not as much now and can leave things until I am fit/able enough to do them. At times things get out of hand, but who cares.
