I've been and brought my Smart home!
It's brilliant,so little but so big inside.
The only reason I can afford it is because I can't go anywhere.
While I was out Mr No I Can't Get Up The Garden, was up the garden picking beans off the end of the row which he had prepared(he breaks them) by the time we came home.
Afterwards Mr No I Can't Pick Blackberries went and picked some blackberries.
Mr I'm Not Washing Up had better get his finger out too.

A brilliant day ended on a real downer.
All ready to go out and do a jobin my new car for the first time and the dreaded by-passing catheter struck again.
Usually I can get the out of hours nursing service and arrange for them to come in the back door so I can get out for a few hours.
Now,every body who sneezes thinks they have swine flu and calls the emergency advice services.Things get passed around and they become swamped.
Some of the emergency lines, not 999 of course, actually have to close down for a while to deal with it all.
Result was that I had to go a very roundabout way to call the nurses who turned up about ten o'clock. No work for me!

Hi everyone, I have not been on much this week.... I have been OUT......TWICE!!!
Hows about that then?

Monday, Tony, Allan and I went out for a meal. They went shopping and collected our pensions.... we were loaded, ha ha ha .... then they came back home, we put the shopping away and went for a meal.
Loverly.... ;-0)

Then yesterday we went out to meet our lovely Lisa and the baby... and had a meal.
Twice in one week I went out.
My confidence is getting better, and I don't have as many 'bad' days as I did when I first came out of hospital. I still do have them, but I'm doing fine.
Tuesday I am going out to look at cameras.
Saturday.... I am going to a wedding!!
ME!! So I am getting better
Oh dear, a whirlwind life I am leading. ha ha ha

Hope You are all doing well too.
Carole (Caz) hope you are doing okay love.
I think of you often and send my love.... are you feeling it yet?

Sharron Smart home?
What have I missed?
Whatever it is I wish you well, a caravan, a new house???

Gotta go just now so all of you, have a great day. The sun is shinning here and I hope it is wherever you are too.

So, love to MARY, CAROLE, CAROLE, MUMMO, SHARRON, JOYCE, ANN, BEN, COLIN, LIZ, ... and all those I have missed.... my brain doesn't hold everything it used to these days, just enough to get me through one day at a time.... ;-0)

lots of love, and hugs ,

It's a magic little car,not so little actually.
I have had the use of the very old Ford Fiesta that my dad drove. Now that was a little car.I didn't drive it because the carburettor was rubbish and it let me down too many times.I kept it so that my insurance continued without a break.
The government brought in the scrappage scheme which paid you 2K toward a new car if you met certain criteria.Old car, owned over a year, running legally.
Well,we met those criteria in a roundabout way and I bought a Smart. It is like a big car with the back cut off,two seats, tiny diesel engine, free road tax,85 to the gallon. And I very much wanted to use it last night sob, sob!

Deanna, that is all you need one day at a time, none of us can do any more than that. Well done for regaining your confidence and for getting out and leading such a whirlwind social life again.

Sharron, Life has a habit of biting you on the b*m doesn't it? Hope you manage to get out in your new car soon. I believe than Mondays are the worst day for catching swine flu!!!!!! More people phone on that day than any other, to register for a sickie!! I don't know how these people who are imagining it/faking it will be able to explain when they really catch it.

It just seems at the moment that one little problem has so many knock-ons.
Once this wet-room,which has been pending for two and a half years now,is built and I have the shed up I can see some sort of light at the end of the tunnel and I can start to sort myself out.
I have funding for the shed and just need to fill in the form to ask the housing association for permission to erect it.Can I get that form filled in?Can I hell!Mental block,I get it about admin for my work and I don't know why.
Maybe I have too much to organize at the moment,I dunno.

Hi Sharron,

I too have a block about form filling, don't know why but maybe have had to do too many over the years! Shame you couldn't get out when you wanted but I hope you will have many hours of fun in your new Smart car. My o.h's b.i.l. has one for work.
Let's hope this week goes better for you and you can get that form done and get out and about a bit. You do a sterling job with your Dad and deserve a break.

Deanna, you gadabout, aren't you doing well? So glad you feel more confident about getting out and hope you have a super time at the wedding.

Still haven't organised holiday accommodation - should be away four weeks today too!

Good evening.
I fetched mum this morning and brought her to my house for a small lunch. Then we went to see dad who is still in hospital. The Dr saw us turn up and said he would come talk to us. He and a sister talked about dad leaving hospital to go home. Mum has been told she has to have helpers in four times a day. She has agreed under presure. Poor dad was getting depressed and thinking he would never go home, so he has cheered up.
No visiting tomorrow so I'll try to get on top of things here, if I can be bothred! Felt quite a bit better today. Back to work Tuesday next week after the bank holiday. Blood test tomorrow.

Hope you are all keeping well.

Dutch we are all wearing out our carpets pacing up and down waiting for Olivia Mai to arrive xxx

So we had booked a little cruise on the Gosport ferry today, along the coast a bit,as a little thank you to the two guys who give me so much help. The old man was going to be properly neglected all day, serves him right for not wanting to come.

Eight o'clock, one of them rings to say he is at the hospital with bad back pains. We three went anyway but we could not contact the other one all day as they have kept him in overnight with a suspected kidney stone.
Then my cousin rang up to say my uncle was in hospital with a urinary infection.

When will it stop? When can I unwind?

Sorry Carole,self,self,self again.
I just hope that your mum does have the carers in at least three times a day.It will take so much pressure off both of them and your dad will feel better for it.

They are brilliant and deal with the unspeakable daily.I couldn't imagine life without them.

Best of luck!
