Scooby's

Scooby's Report 8 Mar 2008 14:16

How many other sufferers feel the guilt of moaning? I really need to talk to someone today but think that everyone must get so fed up with me.
I don't know why today I feel so low, can't think of any way to get rid of the feeling, nothing is right, I hate it. I know it will pass but it is living through it that is the scary bit. I know that when I am strong, I am proud to say that I can manage my illness but it stinks just now
Thanks Janet

Janet, Please do come on here, moan, rant and raave, scream if you have to (we wont hear Lol!) but come on here and talk to us. We are all 'moaners' on here so we understand. I have done my fair bit of whinging these past two weeks and I too feel very down today because I don't think i am healing as fast as I should and am fed up with the pain. Listening to other peoples' problems makes mine less prominent.

So do come on here and talk.

Gill glad you are still around and feeling a bit better.

Hello Scooby, do you need to talk? pm me if you need private support or here if you think we can all help you.

Feeling guilty for moaning is not allowed here. And it's not called moaning it's admiting you don't feel up to score. xxx

Carole Report 8 Mar 2008 14:37

Ann what did your wound look like when you saw it at bandage change? Scabby, red, yellow, dry, it's only two weeks it should be healing but don't expect
it to be healed yet!! As long as it's not weeping too much now I should think you are on the mend. If there was anything to worry about the nurse would have seen it. xxxxx

Hi Dave. How are you ? x

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 8 Mar 2008 14:44

Carole, it is weeping slightly at the centre and the skin by that part is red and a bit angry looking and sore but not hot. I do keep feeling it as instructed to make sure it is not hot. It looks to be healing OK. the nurse was not worried about the weeping, she felt that 2 weeks for stitches to be in was too long. If they had been single stitches she would have removed the one at the centre where it is weeping, But she said, most unusually it is one long joined up single stitch. (I think it needed to be extra strong because of the size of the wound and where it is.

Ann I'm not a nurse or anything but to me your wound sounds okay. As we get older wounds do take longer to heal, not like when we were kids! If it gets hot ,swollen and red that would be a sign of infection. It would also be weeping a lot. But as the nurse saw it she would have noticed anything untoward. Give it time xxx

Hey Dave I'm not too bad today. Don't have to do anything or go anywhere!! Might have a sleep in front of the tv for a while as everyone is out.

You should feel ashamed Dave, to leave it so long to get those glasses! ( Say's me that won't go for an eye test and bought some off the shelf ) pmsl xx

Dave bet you see a whole new world now!! A year!!!!

Carole, yes the nurse is lovely, she would have said if there was cause for worry. It looked as though except for the sore bit, it is healing OK.

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 8 Mar 2008 15:39

Hi all, feeling a bit guilty cos I haven't done half the things I told myself I would do this week, a lot of the time I have spent on here instead, which is naughty. The forecast of stong winds is getting to me as well cos I worry about my house getting damage and I am not there to know or deal with it. It is really worrying, which is another reason why I need to move back there and get everything sorted.
O.h. is on early shift next week so I have to see more of him and cook a meal every night too, which is boring. I do have a dr's apptmt and another counselling session tho which will be good. O.h. has his apptmt with specialist next Thurs and I assumed I would be going along to hear what the results and medicaton etc would be. Oh no, he says, you don't need to come, and if you do, you aren't coming in with me! Now that means he won't tell me or anyone else the true picture, even if he remembers all the specialist says. So that annoys and concerns me cos I won't know what to expect if he is going to be prone to t.i.as like his dad!
Hope everyone manages to stay on top of things, even if you get a down day, hope the next one brings something to cheer you again. I know I am so lucky and things could be worse, but it is just hard sometimes to be positive, so I know where some of you are coming from sometimes.
Sorry I have been a whinger today and not very cheerful. Blame it on the weather..... or the Bossa Nova, anyone remember that song lol?
Back later when he has been home and gone to bed,
Lizxxxx

Hi everyone.

I thought when I read that Elaine was upset, that I had upset her..

I'm like that, everything is my fault....
I know now that Elaine is sad.
Chin up love.

Dave... you look so good in those glasses! ;-0)
I need new specs, but that is just one more thing that I don't seem able to pull myself together enough to do. So I do understand how you are.

My Doctor phoned me last night, and I felt like such a fool.
She gave me a list of blood tests she wanted me to have... and she wondered why she had had no results yet.
Well she wouldn't would she, poor woman, I have not been yet.
I have promised her I will go on Monday morning.
I am just not able to gather any interest in myself... I don't feel like anything!

I am an avid reader and am stuck in the middle of a very good book..... I am in such a stupid state that I am not assimilating any of it, and have to reread everything about 4 times~!!

Bossa Nova Liz.... oh yes I remember.
And I hope you have a better day soon.

good night all,

Dave, Carole, Liz ,Ann, Rach, Elaine, and all the ones I have forgotten.
Have a good nights sleep and we will all feel better tomorrow.

Elaine, don't apologise love, we all get down and you have every reason to be. Why are you hiding it from oh? I think at this sad time you need your oh, you need to feel his arms round you and the support and love he can give you. We are all here for you but we can't hold you physically and I think that's what you need. I'm sending you a big (((((((((hug)))))))))) and am thinking of you trying to send peaceful thoughts. The pains you have are nothing bad, maybe tension but if one stays constant see your doctor to put your mind at rest. Are you on any tablets like us lot, most are on Citalopram, if not see you gp about it as you do need help.
At times we have all been so down we say things that sound silly next day, but that is how we feel at the time, and that is why this thread is here, no-one judges, we listen and try to help. Moan as much as you want if it helps you get it of your chest and we have broad shoulders collectively.

Elaine nice of you to say sorry but no need. We all understood how you were feeling! Oh might not, why not let him know so he has a chance to help you? Then leave it, you know we are all here for you if he doesn't understand. I tell you all how I feel to give my old man a break!!!

Deanna I have a habit of saying what I think is a joke then fret about it, as I could have upset the person I said it to. A friend at work asked what she should do with her hair? I said put a bag over your head. Thought it was funny, honestly ten years later I still wish I'd never said it!

Let us all know how you get on having blood tests Monday!!!

Shuwa shuwu Dave, yes those glasses are making you look good !!

Liz wonder why he dosen't want you to hear what the doctor says to him. Do you think he wants to be able to tell you things are worse than they really are?

Scooby are you okay? Come and talk to us any time xxx

Caz is right Elaine and I'm glad that she came and said something sensible to you.
I am on FLUOXITINE.... perhaps the doctor would help you too.
