Live about the Middle of New South Wales. Don't all you Welsh people get excited with the Wales bit.

Started to sprinkle as I type. We have sprung a leak in our largest tank, still under warenty, but it is the precious water I hate loosing.

Off in a minute hope to have an early night, shopping tomorrow.

Love and Hugs to all

hi all not been on much been feeling down but im feeling a bit better today a poem for all my friends

Wouldn't this old world be better

If the folks we meet would say,

I know something good about you!

And then treat us just that way?

Wouldn't it be fine and dandy

If each handclasp warm and true,

Carried with it this assurance,

I know something good about you!

Wouldn't life be lots more happy,

If the good that's in us all

Were the only thing about us

That folks bothered to recall?

Wouldn't life be lots more happy,

If we praised the good we see?

For there's such a lot of goodness

In the worst of you and me.

Wouldn't it be nice to practice

That fine way of thinking, too?

You know something good about me,

I know something good about you.

Carolina What a great poem, hope you don't mind me copying it. Can I put it on a separate thread on the board, or would you?

Gail, pleased to see you sounding chirpy today, although you may have gone to bed by now, that is one of the problems of us all being in different time zones. I hope you enjoy your day shopping and don't spend too much.

Joyce, Liz and anybody else around, hallo, hope you are all ok. Lovely sunny day here in Gloucester. Have to go to the practice nurse today. Not feeling quite so sore and therefore feeling a bit more upbeat today. OH having pc problems, he has a new one and has lost his e mail account as the password corrupted, so he is now struggling to sort it out (even didn't go to golf!!!!!)

Have a good day everyone.

Hi all, lovely bright day here in Norwich but I might go back to bed, was woken up by the window cleaner banging his ladder on the window ledge, and by Susan with numbers caterwauling loI

I also think I might have the kidney infection back again, good thing I have the doctor's apptmt on Monday, postponed from last week, but had planned to do several things this w/e and don't want to feel I have to stay close to the loo all the time, so drinking lots of coffee at the mo to try and flush anything through.

The verse was lovely Carolina. Shame more people can't live their lives being nicer to people, altho there still is a huge amount of good in the world, just the bad stuff hits the media and the good stuff doesn't.

Ann in glos, glad you are feeling a bit better, hope you continue to improve daily.

JoyceP, thanks for all your cheery words for everyone. You enjoy your day.

Gail, you have to make it a shopping trip and a half to warrant going that far, hope you enjoy your trip tomorrow and don't get too tired, shop till you almost drop will have to be your slogan lol

Take care everyone, catch you later maybe

Hello all, popped in to see what's happening to everyone. Lovely verse Carolina, and the words you put on Irene are so lovely I have copied them for when my time has come, hope you don't mind. No, I am not being morbid but I had such a bad scare at christmas it made me think. I have already got the most beautiful piece of music. It's my do I might as well enjoy it.
Well I have had a good day so far, we had cancer support lady this morning, quite interesting, we have decided to look at sheltered housing. There is one quite near in the village centre, two minutes away from doctor, my BiLs brother and wife live there and they said we could go look at theirs. Only thing is they are so small and we have so much stuff, what do you keep and what to throw out.
Theres only two of us, three if we count Cocky and all his stuff so we could cut down on crockery and things like bedding I kept 'just in case'.
I was upset when they told me I had to leave this house and go in a disabled place, but talking to Kath this morning I am quite looking forward to it. It won't happen for a while yet but I am sorting things out now, I mean, I have just emptied a dressing table drawer and dragged gawd knows how many long strings of beads out. Youngest sons girlfriends used to like me to dress them in twenties flapper style for fancy dress parties and I still have the bits and bobs. Oh and I found a photo of when they were ready for one party, Jo looked beautiful, but I had done my son as Just William, complete with black eye. I just burst out laughing when I saw it, remembering how all his mates were asking how he had got it, he is a very gentle sort and never had a scrap, lol.

Oh lor! is this what old people do, go off on a memory trip. I only came to tell you about our decision and see who is up to what. Can't remember any of the messages now after my rambles, I have not been on the booze honest, it's just that I can see a better future now after seeing Kath this morning.
Love to you all, I have a few pms to do later but you know who you are, I'm off back to dressing table drawers now.

I honestly don't know Elaine - fortunately have never suffered panic attacks - I'm sure someone else on here does though and no doubt when they see your posting they'll come on and tell you - have you really sat and thought this out though - d'you think you can focus on something other than just yourself - I don't mean that in a nasty way honeybun, can't you just take your mind of things that bother you by either doing something else or thinking about something else - something nice, or reading a book - a happy one!! Love Ann XXXX

I had a goodnights sleep and for the whole of the morning was relatively pain free. Then had to go and have the dressing changed and antibiotic cream put on the wound. That and getting in and out of thecar has given me the pain back again. Nurse assures me it will all get better once the stitches are removed. Or I should say stitch as apparently my 'stitches' are all one long stitch. should be fun to remove ---- something to look forward to (not).
