Not been in long and had a quick peep on thread, not read all of it yet but in answer to Dave, yes they do, we have at least two squirrels and we watched them digging in the planters at each side of door. We couldn't understand what had made the disturbance in the soil, they look so pleased when they find one and run off with it lol. My daffodils are coming up though so they don't like those.

I'll report about my day at hospital after tea, so hungry now, taking sandwiches next time.

Well folks I made it before bed time at least....
How are you all today?
I have read a few of the messages, and it seems that we all feel better when we have a moan to a friend.

Hi Caz, how are you? don't be doing too much... but if you are enjoying it THEN do it. see you when I have the 'energy' to send a message! lol

IRENE.... that is good for your son to know what he wants to do and go for it. I hope he makes it. It doesn't half *stop the rot* where the bullies are concerned.
My son had gained so much confidence when he came home after 9 weeks training. That the first of the bullies who thought he had nothing better to do than start the *poking and laughing*.... was swiftly put in his place! It was nice . It was the point at which I stopped worrying about him..... until they went to the Falklands, but he made it back from there... thank god.

Kathy... are you sore love?
Do not over do things.
I remember years ago when I could still knit, I was sitting knitting and my hands were very sore. I just kept on and told myself that *this is doing you good*.
I woke up the next morning and my left hand was swollen to twice its size, from the elbow to my finger tips.. So if you need a little walk, make it a very little walk. You can always catch up another time.
Good luck at the physio.

Maxi Mary.... good luck to your girl. I know haw much courage that takes and how much help it needs.
My own Daughter did her degree course and her masters with two little girls. my son and my husband and I had to help. We had no money, so our help was baby sitting , picking up from school, Well you know. We had them a lot.
The story about the women with the problems to their bladders after giving birth. I saw that a few years back on the TV.
Those poor women. they had the operation and were given a new dress made with the material of their choice. Just a little cotton dress, and the fact that they were made better.
How we take everything we have for granted, and how easily we complain.
It doesn't stop me complaining.... but that programme did humble me.

Hi Dave, we do feel a bit better in the sunshine, although I love the winter nights.

Right that is it.... I will shut up now and give you all peace.
Thank you for the *one sided* chat! ;-0)

And to all the peeps I have forgotten, chin up and we will all be well someday. x

One of the case histories is nearly the same as mine so hoping for the positive effects from the therapy as what they have had.

Malc nice to see you again on here, you've been away too long, hope the sessions help you, Hi to everyone else, I'm like Elaine now, can't remember who's on.
Well I saw a new doctor today, very young and dishy, he had a lovely manner as well, he said my hands will need a lot of moisturising because they are starting to crack now and are still sore, he didn't look at feet but said they will be same as hands and will start to peel. He has changed my tablets to a lower dose, he said the last one was too strong for me. Sent me for blood test, then said to go up to chemo as he was sure my blood results would come back ok and pick up my tablets. They wouldn't give me them, said they hadn't ordered them until they get results from tests. By this time we were hungry so went and had a sandwich then back up to chemo, all the time my poor feet were complaining and getting worse. In the end Liz the chemo sister said to go home and come back tomorrow for them, she could see I was ready for collapsing. Hubby is going to pick them up for me. We were there for ten and didn't get home till about 3-30, I hate these appointments now.
Mary your daughter does you proud, well done to her,and you take it easy in the snow.
Carole, glad you got to see your lady, have a nice hot bath and relax those tense shoulders and neck.
Elaine, keep chin up , that's what your aunt would want for you.
Sorry to who I have forgotten, my brain feels dead at moment, I need my bed.

see you all tomorrow.

Hi Mary, trying to have a quick catch up. Just replied to your emails.
This evening there was a programme on tv about how people cope with depression and suicides, it was very sad.

I am feeling like Y. Caz at the mo, finding it difficult to keep up with everyone's posts so I am sorry I can't be more helpful and will just say, stay positive everyone and hope you all have a good day today.

Good morning to one and all,

A bit like Caz and Liz's postings, I have missed out quite a lot by not being online recently.. nothing serious just one of those downers we all have from time to time

Each of you have been very busy of late with one thing or another...what comes through loud and clear though is the fact that you are all fighting the good fight... a bit like a branch of the armed forces except that we march on our pills, not on our feet..... especially our Caz... sorry lass but you do bring out the worst in me.. firstly you cannot be the clown in my drama because of your falling down, now your tooties are playing up.....wow!!!!!!!!!! have just had a brilliant idea.. how about we change the plot to one of a space adventure, that way everyone gets to travel the world, see the sights and sunshine and no walking... just floating around...right now I think it is my brain which is floating, what say you!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol.

Promise to post again later in the day once the 'water' has drained from my brain lol.

Wishing everyone a pain free and productive day xxx

YorkshireCaz Report 6 Mar 2008 06:52

Irene just take your time over the paperwork, it won't help at all by worrying. I'm glad your hand is ok, arthritis is nasty, specially in hands, and sleep is healing, saving your energy, it's natures way isn't it.

Joyce what am I going to do with you???? I had some tears this morning, i'm so down, now you make me cry laughing, I think you want my face waterlogged then I will look the part of the clown. I don't like your idea of a space thingy, I'm frightened of heights so I will cop out of this one. Go back to original and I will still play the clown cos I am good at falling, so much practice

Hi everyone.
Caz what a long day for you at the hospital! Dishy new doctor will make you want to go again and again!! If you feel down today give your sister a ring and have a little chat xxx

Irene a space walk adventure sounds good. keep us all sane!!! lol. (I think you need your tablets looking at) !!!

Elaine what flowers did you choose?x

Ann take it slowly today! xx

Liz have you emptied your email address now? My mail to you comes back! xx

Well I had a bath last night took some nurofen. My work friend is retiring next week so last night eight of us were going out for a meal. I was so stressed I didn't feel like going. I knew I wouldn't when asked to go, but it was a special night so I went! Jac picked me up with two others, we went to a pub and met for a drink. Then to Cafe Zoot! I had potatoe soup and then taglittelli. (sp). It was a lovely night but I was a bit like a fish out of water at times! Came home to find I was locked out!! Oh gone to bed, daughter come home, thought I was in bed and locked up! She came down to let me in and we sat talking with a coffee to midnight! Head ache back this morning, so more tablets. Which reminds me I can't remember taking anti depressants yesterday, so will have to check!

Deanna I try not to moan all the time to those round me, I guess we all do the same! People just don't want to hear it. Then they think we are better! So it's nice to know we can come on here and tell each other how we really feel without feeling like a whinger! xx

Kathy all that power washing used muscles you didn't know you had!! Now you remember them!! Take care xx

Justice of Peace Report 6 Mar 2008 12:28

Morning again, one and all..

I have always loved numbers, even as a child at school, they must and always do balance out whichever way you look at them....give me a handwritten ledger of numerous pages of figures and I can mentally balance the books to the very last penny or even farthing....knew I had to be good at something...lol.

So....... either today, 6th March or tomorrow we will have reached our 100th page of postings on this our thread, which was started on the 26th January...
unbelievable I would say...

One could estimate say 12 postings per page = 1,200 overall.....

It has to be one of the strongest lifelines I have every come across....one can read books, have discussions with Dr's or family... but as individuals we have shared our experiences which in turn have proved to be a lifeline to so many others, not just on here but by word of mouth.

Thank you all for making a contribution, however great or small, reckon we are one big united family and I am proud to be part of this family.

Thanks Carole for setting up the thread and thanks to Ann for putting the idea into your head in the first place.

Away now to work out other figures like....how much it is going to cost me for my Grandaughters wedding in July.... no rest for the wicked eh! lol.
