Hi everyone, I've had a great day, wanted to go shopping this morning so set off at 6-15 to Tescos, been up since two. It was hard work with the wheelchair as my hands are still sore but I enjoyed it, at least I didn't have to walk.
I had a lady contact me a couple of days ago about a member of my family, she turns out to be part of my family, not sure of relationship yet but we definately join. Looking at her tree I realised who it was, only my next door neighbour from 15 years ago.. How strange is that, we got on really well and were friends, I know why now.
Must dash,(oh if only) got a lot to do yet, Hope you go on ok Kerry, and well done Deanna for getting on earlier.

when it's all healed over get some Bio-oil and use that on the scar and it'll make the scar disappear really well!! Tip for the day!!

Ann you were writing as I was, I think ten days is the usual lenghth of time to leave stitches in, and yes they do get 'irritable', my breast nurse had to take mine out for me. Hope you are ok otherwise. Going to saute onions and open can of tomatoes, grate cheese and that is my contribution to making tea.

Ann of GG Thank you for the tip, is it sold in chemist or other shop, any idea whereabouts, alternative medicines? Must be careful not to get baby bio!!!!!

YCaz, thanks, I thought two weeks was a bit long but maybe it is because it was a difficult wound. Hopefully the nurse can sort it although i am supposed to be going to the hospital to have them removed. In myself I am OK although a bit down because i want to run before I walk and am not a patient patient. Also I am nervous about the little bit of weeping from the wound and the redness. have actually just taken nurofen in the hope they will reduce the inflammation.

I am also finding it difficult to take the sarcasm from a certain person on another thread which is unlike me I usually find it easy to ignore people like that.

Good afternoon everyone.
Kerry you must be out by now, how did it go? My first appointment we talked about the storage of my records after discharge. Who see's records. Letters sent to my doctor. Then history of my problem. Next visit she told me she was moving on and I would see someone else. Next appointment I got all worked up endless visits to the loo, - to get there and be told, she had phoned in sick, could I come back next week?! So I'm back tomorrow afternoon.
Hope you appointment went okay and you think you will be able to talk to your pychologist xx

Ann don't let her get to you, I know I am the worst offender for letting them get to me, but you are better than that and that other person knows that so all that is left is sarcasm.

Just be Ann - let her slide into the gutter.

Sorry Kathy, late tonight as I was looking for some information I needed. Are you ok, apart from being stiff and sore.
Was going to ring you this evening but again someone called me first and I was tied up, lol
Will try Weds evening. Stop being so flippin energetic lol

Betty, the programme was the Tonight prog on itv but might have only been on Anglia tv and in other areas at other times.
I was very lucky with Mother's Day, and my flowers are giving me a lot of pleasure altho with the heat having to be on cos it is chilly, they won't last that long.
Take care, whereever you are off to, and catch you later in the week.
to everyone else, take care, I feel ok, having my hair cut today Weds, as doc cancelled my apptmt today and the call from the surgery woke me up early, I knew I wouldn't then get up in time for hairdo at training school so postponed till this afternoon which is better as don't have to leave till o.h. has gone to work. If you understand that, you are geniuses (can't think of plural for genius!)

Hope everyone has a good day.
I actually had a good nights sleep last night - the first step to feeling better. Then this morning OH and I tackled my hair. Decided I didn't need a shower as I can strip wash so knelt over the bath on a padded towel and he washed it for me. it feels soooo good now, he is an angel.

Hello all.
I had a wonderful time at the awards dinner on Monday evening, where Colleen received an award (plus$$) called the Womens Opportunity award, given so generously by the International Soroptimist club, this one is a local club, then the winner is submitted for the provincial level, then the national level. regardless of whether she goes any further this was a great experience for her (and for me). I was so proud of her, and the meal was excellent!!
The award is given to women who are sole earners in the home, with dependents, to help them become more financially independent and reach their goals, follow their dream. As she is a uni student now, with 4 children, she more than qualified. They also invited her to apply for one of their bursaries if she pursues post-grad studies.. I chatted with one of the ladies and learned quite a bit about their "projects". Their ongoing one is to raise money for the very young mothers (12 & 13) in Africa, who have developed fissures after birthing, and become outcast because of constant leakage and odour. It costs $300 for each repair surgery.
It was an interesting evening, including the ride home in freezing rain.
Yesterday we had snow, freezing rain and ice pellets. Took me double the time to get home from work. It's snowing lightly right now and I have had enough of it!!
Please someone send me some sunshine.
I haven't been on here much the last couple of days ,grabbing cat-naps where I can, the driving in this weather is very tense and stressful for me and I just want to sleep when i get home.
Had a great new contact through GR. My Dad's first wife died in 1940 under enemy action in the Pacific. He retained a lot of papers relating to her and having been trying for over 20 years to locate a relative to whom I could pass them on, this week I have been put in touch with her nephew. I am absolutely thrilled, You know me and papers, I don't like to throw them out anyway, but these were specially important. So soon they will be heading back over the pond, where they belong.
The children have a snow day today so I must hie upstairs to their flat. Have a good day everyone.

Just got home from my psychology appointment. As I said, I had to have a new woman as the last one moved on after two visits to see her! New one seems okay. Talked about my problem with poohing! And close family. Back in a month. I have a really bad head ache, neck & shoulders hurt. Gonna have a drink and some tablets if I can find any! xx
