Hi Caz, Ann and Deanna, yes I'm still here Deanna, I'll get round to it one day.
Ann in Glos, don't ever call yourself a fraud, this thread is for everyone to moan, sing, yodel, do whatever they like, it is OUR thread. You have earned the right to moan anyway by your operation, anyone who's had one, most of us, know how hard it is to get over.
Last week when I had the reaction to my chemo and my feet and hands hurt like hell, I wanted to come on here and moan, but I couldn't walk to get here, otherwise you'd have all signed off and left me to it.

I've asked before, has anyone seen Joyce JP about today, I hope she is alright and just gone out for the day.
Hi to everyone else, theres so many of us now,it's lovely.

Caz xx

I think of you all, but not usually when I am on here!
Excuse my poor old brain.... ;-0)
Good night all.

Hello Angela, nice to meet you. Welcome to our club!! Hope you will soon feel like you are meeting old friends like the rest of us do. I have to look in every day to see how my ladies and gents are doing !

Dave well done ! I'm proud of you. Now you can try to go again and plan to stay an hour and a half. With the option to leave earlier if it feels to hard to stay longer. Your sister will have been well pleased you went. x

Kathy you made me laugh. I'm sorry for you that your son didn't make more effort to talk to you mothers day. Clip him round the ear when he comes home! My son was at work all day come home threw a box at me and said "here you are". 23 year old man of few words. I hoovered, washed up, dusted, ironed so no special treatment here!
Good moan you had!! Sounds like you need to make a list of what to get repaired , bless you. Good to get it out. I'll pm you later. xx

Ann what ever makes you feel you shouldn't tell us how you feel. You had an op for goodness sake. You don't recover over night. treat your self to some rest, the hw will wait.

Mary hope you and Colleen have a lovely time tonight. You both deserve it xx

Kerry my daughter also had problems when about two / seven. Shortly after eating certain foods. Like Mary said, we were told to use honey from Africa as the bees are not fed on sugar. Dairy goods can also cause problems. Of course daughter loved the foods that caused a reaction red cheese, smarties tinned peas, I know now a lot of the additives they used to use are no longer in use.xx Good luckx

Caz (Yorkshire) how are your feet now? Feeling any better? xx

Caz C, hows you?

Hi to Ann GG, Carolina, Deanna, Irene, Gail, Betty,Romany, ~~~~~ to you all xx

Hi friends

I thought long and hard before posting this as I don't want to offend any christian people who don't believe in life after death .
I am a spiritualist ( although not been able to go to church for a long time ) but for many years I was privaliged to sit in a circle with one of our countries best mediums . During these sessions the medium was in trance and a lady called Nell would come through . Nell was a cockney and a real live wire . She always said if you need help just call on Nell and I will be near .Her favourite song is knees up mother brown .She has worked for me so any one who is feeling low ask nell for some help and see if it helps . Does no harm to try .
Honestly I am not crazy and those who know me will confirm .
All together knees up mother brown knees up mother brown under the table you must go etc etc I have a lousy singing voice

Kathy :-) xxx

ps If I have offended any one pm me and don't turn this lovely thread into a moral issue as that is not what I wanted

Carole Report 3 Mar 2008 23:19

Kathy is that somewhere for you to aim to go? Church. Nell might be the person to help you get there. If you believe - it will help you. I hope you will try xx

I'm going to see Colin Fry in June/July can't remember, at Grimsby. Been to a lot of those sort of meetings.

Dave my 14y old son has been bully'ed most of his school life he now has no faith and no love of school this year I decided to home school him because he is a smart kid but just can't get or keep him in the school ground he'd made himself sick so he didn't have to go missed so much school last year that they couldn't asscess him for the next year level. he is so hard on himself gets into dark moods where he feel's he can't do anything right. Iam sure from what you have said that you can give me advice or idea's on how I might help him cope. it is getting better but like this weekend he has just started air forces cadets and love's it got his uniform of friday night all smile's but on the way home we hit and killed a kangaroo and her joey $2000 damage to car (insured thank god) but he blames himself (I was driving) but now he do'snt won't to go.I'll have to make him go as it's part of his home schooling but am i doing the right thing ? we were very upset as we sometimes look after joey's who's mum's have been killed would love your advice thanks

Hi Kathy, now you tell me! Will call Nell when I need some help and see what happens. Was going to call you this evening but someone else called me first and there was no time later. Will try during the week love.
Hi Irene, I like that line, United we stand, together we fall, and I will add, together we will help each other up again! Altho it does make us all sound like Humpty Dumptys lol not everyone is as roly poly as me I am sure!
I was just reading something about fighting depression and the first thing to do was Get some Buddies and I thought, well our thread is full of buddies so we are doing right there.

I just found an email from my doctor saying she can't see me later today as I had arranged so I have to ring and make another apptmt. It is annoying as I had my hair apptmt earlier and then on to her after some time for errands so a bit peeved but will ring and see what date I can go in, it wasn't that essential but I would have rather got it over with. If it is likely to snow later, maybe I will be better getting back earlier anyway.
Que Sera....
Hope you all have a good day Tuesday, and find a little ray of sunshine or something to make you smile.
love
Lizxxx

Oh Irene, that is sad, both that you had the accident, and that the Roo and joey lost their lives but also that your son thinks it means he shouldn't go again. Maybe you can talk him into going cos he might learn things there that would help you when you try to raise the joeys you find, or that he might learn enough to invent something to stop the roos going on the roads? Is there any way you can explain that sometimes fate takes a hand in deciding things and we don't have any control i.e. that the animal came out in front of you and you couldn't help but hit it. Other times we have choices, like whether to do something or not, but this time it was not your choice to make. Maybe the roo wasn't too well or strong and wouldn't have been able to raise the joey so fate/God decided it should go to a safe place where it wouldn't suffer. Can you explain Rainbow Bridge to him, where the pets go when they die, so they can wait for their owners to join them, all whole and happy when the time comes. Then say there is a sort of Rainbow Bridge for roos and wild animals too where they can roam safely?
(If you don't know about Rainbow Bridge, google it or ask someone to nudge up the verse for you.)

I am not sure how well he would take this tack but it might help him feel less 'responsible' even tho he isn't anyway, and he would give the cadets another go.

Actually, does he have a pet that he could take whole responsibility for, with some guidance of course, so that he learned to trust that dog or cat and would maybe pour out his feelings to? Might help him, stroking a pet is very therapeutic.

Are there things he is really good at that you could encourage or enlarge on in some way, i.e. drawing or gardening, cooking, anything that he might shine at to raise his confidence?
I wish you luck that he finds a way to get out of his dark moods and realises he is a valuable member of society. Has he tried any martial arts, as this often helps the person feel stronger against bullies and teaches them self discipline too. You could put up a thread for Lou, Toothfairy, as she is into kickboxing and would know if something like that would help your lad.
Best wishes at a difficult time,
Lizxxx

Hi every one just reading all your post and sending love and hugs to all.

Colleen, I had the same diet for youngest, given to me by doc who did not approve of meds of this type for kids. She is still using it at 30 and when she has too much sugar additives etc she still goes off the rails and too full of energy, she knows this herself and says, should not have eaten or drunk that.

It worked for her so any one with ADHD kids I would give it a go to see if it works for your child.

Hi gang - how are we all today - I think I have finally recovered from my shop till you drop outing last Saturday - takes a long time to get over it when you're so old!! Nice story about the spiritualist lady called Nell - I certainly would not discount such happenings cos after all, no one really knows now do they. Poor little Roo and Joey - they are such lovely animals. I'm sure the Air Cadets will do a power of good by the way.

Today I have decided to do some gardening - have a lot of plants to put in and also have to do some h.......k!! Sorry about blaspheming so early in the day, but needs must.

Love to all for now

Well I have made it a little earlier today.
Still late though.
Hello to Irene, Ann, Gill,Dave,Kath, Caz, Colleen.... am I getting good or what?

We had snow here this morning and I was so excited. Even old ladies can be thrilled at the snow.

Kath, I am not offended by your story.
I went to a spiritualist Church with a friend once. I enjoyed it, but got nothing from it.
I do believe in spirits, and even if I didn't, if the belief helps anyone to get through this complicated life... which is not always easy.... then that is fine by me.

I cannot remember who spoke about her son being bullied.
My eldest son was bullied, and nothing really helped. Even the teachers thought it a good joke to join in.... not all teachers are trustworthy.
BUT.... to my SHOCK... let alone surprise, he joined the army!
AND he loved it. he was in for 9 years.
I asked him once why he was not afraid in the army.... it is a long story, but the gist of what he said was ... the fairness.

See you all later.

And Colleen thank you for the smile...
I needed it.

Well I have had my dressing changed. A bit depressing because there is a small amount of inflammation round part of the scar. Sister says if it is still there on Friday she will ask my GP if she should take the stitches out early rather than waiting until Tuesday which will be two weeks. she thinks that is too long to leave them in as stitches start to get 'irritable'. (I know how they feel!)

sorry Kerry a bit late but I am thinking of you with your appointment.
