Justice of Peace Report 29 Feb 2008 04:24

Caz...Wowwwwwwwwwwwww you are back with us lass... and I have been up most of the night writing you out of the script whilst tormenting myself that I caused you to be unwell due to my demands on your 'well known' talents....lol.

Does this mean I have to rewrite the whole damned script again...wish I had never thought up the idea in the first place. lol.

Seriously though, welcome home lass...
the last thing you needed was another scare but I am glad that you were not whisked away to hospital.. You are only trying to keep up with the Jone's or rather the Joyce's, right..

I had the same treatment as you when my injection of Iodine caused an allergic reaction....doctor and nurses standing at surgery door with wheelchair and gas and air... did look around for the paparazzi but with the Beckhams being in town that night there were no flashing lights.

Now....with your orders being bed rest, your hubby at home to pander to your every need, your wee bird to peel the sprouts and keep you amused with his chatter, what else could a lady ask for..

BUT promise me something PLEASE... you will not go down on bended knee and propose to your husband again, being the 29th Feb. and all that jazz..even on bended knee I do not trust you... I wonder why lol.

Welcome home and catch up with you later...

Morning Liz and Joyce, been to make some toast and it took ages, I feel like I want to take my feet off and put them in my pocket while I walk, if only.
Sorry but you are going to have to rewrite the script again Joyce, it's good practice for you anyway.
I must admit it did give me a scare, especially when the nurse told me on the phone to be prepared to be kept in as it's serious. I'm back where I am safe now, oh gawd, I've just realised what I have said, I am never safe anywhere. I'm good at embarrasing hubby, last time we went to Whitby, we came out of a shop and he let go my arm to close door, I went forward and hit the corner of wall with my forehead. I saw stars, people looked at me as if I was drunk, well, there was a pub next door. Lovely black eye for weeks.
I promise I won't go down on bended knees to propose, although given the chance I would marry him again. In fact he is buying me a new wedding ring, we are waiting for it being made now, white gold and gorgeous. When I had that trouble with trying to get needles in my hand for drips, doctor said to take my ring off as it was a bit tight if my hand swelled. got it round my neck now on a chain.
Time for my tablets now so better go, at least without the chemo I have only 11 to get through now.
Liz how did your meeting go, or have I missed it.

Night all, it`s 1am and I`m off to bed, perchance to dream . . . ., why am I wanting to sleep so much, could it be that`s I`ve forgotten some of my meds. . . what`s wrong with my keyboard, I keep getting Italian or french letters with accents. when I try and type a query.
Too tired to think, night all,
Liz hope you`re Ok.

Hi everyone, thinking of you all. Please be kind to yourselves.

I will not be posting for a while, having a rest from the boards for a while.

Apologies to everyone in advance, but will be deleting all my posts as well.

Have come across some amazing people on this thread, I think you are all wonderful, caring people.

Gail,
If you are still looking in, please don't delete your posts on here, it will leave a blank and cause confusion. And we are confused enough already. Have a break if that is how you feel but please do not let that person chase you away from something you enjoy.

Sorry every one, did delete all my posts, did not want to give this person any more ammunition to fire at me.

I am very fragile just now. I loved this thread as it has been so helpful.

This is not the first time I have been under fire form them I have now blocked them from contacting me.

I will look in now and then, just a bit wonded at present.

Morning every one.

Hello Margaret, nice to see your post as I also felt stressed as a child being expected to look after my younger sister! She was a free spirit who did as she liked I was the responsible one!! Didn't want that! I always had tummy ache at school, and remember a class photo being put on the wall and the crowd round it saying how every one looked happy, except me sat on the front row with a sad face, I know I had tummy ache that day, still remember it! 40 years ago!!

Gail if you look in please stay with us. You know we are all happy to see you, and you would be missed so much on here. This is a nice place :o) and you are important to us xx

Thank you to you all for birthday wishes yesterday.

Yorkshire Caz I'm so pleased you got checked out.
Bet it feels good to be back home and know it was
something fairly simple and nothing to threaten your life!! I had an allergic reaction to codine last year it was awfull, I thought I was going to die. Your feet being purple makes me think of those poor people who did the drugs test and were all ill, do you know the ones I mean? xxxx Have a good day with your oh xxx

Mary and Deanna why don't you make a shorter list to start with? Add to it as you have made some progress. Well done to you both it sounds like your bin men will have a heavy load to pick up next collection day.

Betty how are you?

Liz ~~~~ what you been doing? Any chance of your bin men having a heavy load from your houe? xx

Joyce deep breath count to ten and start again!! xx

Ann GG / Glos ~~~~ to you both well said to Gail !! xx

Where is our Romany ?

Gail,
Just keep reading if not posting, we are all here for you.
YCaz, hope you will soon be feeling a lot better. When I was going in for my op they couldn't get the needle in to my hand for the drip so they then had to swop hands. So I have a bruise on both hands now!!! Fingers didn't swell luckily.

Margaret, please excuse my rudeness, I meant to welcome you this morning but forgot you and Ann in Glos, hope to see you again. I was a bit upset to read Gails message, please Gail if you are looking in, you can always pm one of us, don't stay away but keep reading.
Ann in Glos, I said in my message last night, that I was daft enough to lose, It is a feeling of anti climax when you come home isn't it, it is the anaesthetic as you say. Hope you feel better soon, let hubby spoil you.
If your wondering why I am here and not in bed, next door are drilling and hammering in their kitchen, he finishes one job and she makes him start another.
Hi to everyone, belated birthday wishes Carole.
Hi Dave, nice to see you again.

Carole Report 29 Feb 2008 12:27

Dave you will be anxious about tomorrow but once you get there with your family and friends you will forget how worried you were. Stuff the people who upset you and enter the place like you own it!! If they ask where you have been remember you have been too busy. If you can't cope, have a drink and say you can't stay. But I bet you will enjoy it xx

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 29 Feb 2008 12:52

Y Caz, I think that, even though I was only in for 24 hours, being in hospital is like being covered by a security blanket. If you cough somebody is there, somebody always asks how you are feeling, you know you are as safe as you can be. When you are home you are apprehensive i suppose. But I think the anaesthetic stays in your system for about a week, depending how much you had. I am definitely better than I was yesterday, but still feel a bit shaky, no energy. I am eating OK, maybe not quite as much as normal. Sleeping not too badly but only for 5/6 hours then I stiffen up as I can't thrash around like I am used to doing, and I don't like sleeping on my back either which I have to do at the moment. It will get better so i am not stressing over it. It is nice to know that I can come on here and whinge a bit and people understand.

Carole, thank you for asking, sorry I didn't reply before.. As you can see, not too bad.

Ann G, moan as much as you want, this is what were here for. You've lost your security blanket of nurses and doctors, but you have one in your hubby and the district nurse at your gp, if you feel unsure of anything just give her a ring. Even a talk over the phone will put your mind at rest, you will be shaky for a few days, that's why you must rest, my surgeon told me it is because your body thinks it has been mutilated when I asked him about being shaky.
Just think, while you are resting you can come on here any time you want and talk to all us lovely peeps lol. Always someone about.

Caz xx
