Hi gang - lovely day here in Cardiff - bright sunshine and not too cold. No earthquake damage here but then I heard nothing although sleep was disturbed. Gail, there must be some official body over your GP and I feel you should contact whoever that is - very poor service indeed.

Carole - sick psychologist, well there's a thing - why on earth they have to lie to try and cover their tracks I don't know, really juvenile.

£50 Carolina - well that is good! Somebody loves ya baby!

Hi Rach - glad to hear you're feeling better today

Caz - sure you didn't cause that earthquake by falling over again!! Come clean now!

Are you ok now carolina? I wondered where you were, my sister comes all day Tuesday so I don't get on here apart from early morning.
Carole, sorry about your appointment, that would make me worse and I'd start worrying more.
Liz if you haven't gone yet, let us know how you got on this afternoon.
My doctors surgery rang me yesterday to tell me they are making me an appointment at pain management clinic, yipee! Might get sorted out a bit. The doctor who saw me on Monday said the doc who will be with the macmillan nurse knows quite a lot about fm as well so I might get some help there.

Hi everyone.

Caz.... don't worry love.
I don't worry about you as long as I see you on here.
That way I know you are not too bad.

I'm okay just now, getting feelings of nausea though.. been going on for a few days and nights.

Look after yourselves, I'm off to watch a Western with hubby.

Morning - or afternoon - all.
It's bright here today, despite no sunshine and ankle deep snow , feeling a bit headachy from the heavy cloud cover but generally OK.
Gail I wish you had access to another Doc - but I would also report him to his governing body, college, whatever it's called.
Caz I hope the pain clinic will be a huge help in making your life more comfortable.
Liz good luck with the appt, let it all out.
Ann, please try to relax and let your poor bod heal.

We had some horrible excitement here yesterday, a 57 yr old man went into the chinese buffet a couple of blocks away, for lunch. When he left, he put his keys and wallet on the counter while paying his bill. Went outside and realised his wallet and keys were still on the counter.
Went back in, everything was gone, so he called the police to report a theft. While waiting for them he saw his items in the sewer drain by the road.
Showed the police, they couldn't retrieve them, so they called a city maintenance crew to get them. The police went back into the restaurant and while the fellow waited, he decided to try and retrieve his items himself, lost his balance and fell into the drain head-first. The fire dept couldn't get him out as he was a bigger man and wedged in tightly, so they stopped a tow and he hauled him out feet first. The man died en route to hospital. because he couldn't wait a few minutes for the crew to arrive.
What a waste. His poor family.

Colleen got a huge surprise last night - she's been awarded a womens opportunity award from the soroptimist club. As winner of this region, she'll be submitted for the provincial award too, and the winner of that is eligible for the federal award. Even if she goes no further, this is a huge shot in the arm for her, struggling to attend uni with 4 kids at home, motivation to keep going on a bad day. The extra $$ is nice too!!
have too much to do before work, so have a good day all.
hugs

FUZZY BEAR Report 27 Feb 2008 15:20

hello everyone... not posted on here for weeks! and that was under my previous board name of susi.just wanted to let you all know been feeling alot better these last few wks, increased citalopram from 20mg to 30mg and i think the better weather we have been having has also helped.although i have had a few problems over the years i also think alot of my depression is down to a chemical imbalance and other than taking the tablets, i dont think there is much, else that can be done about that unless, others know different.i remember one doctor telling me a few years ago that a chemical imbalance maybe the case, and also a psychiatric nurse as without the tablets my mood drops dramatically..oh wel,l i will just keep taking them. i dont mind as long as they keep me in a better frame of mind as without, its like living under a permanent black cloud.like i said feeling alot better at present and hope to keep this up.have been reading your posts, and i just want to say how well alot of people seem to be doing and for others all i can say is things will improve just give it time.take care everyone and keep up the good work xxxxx

YorkshireCaz Report 27 Feb 2008 15:53

Hi again Fuzzy/Susi, keep on taking the tablets, black clouds are not nice are they.
Ann, ckeeky, I am heavy but not that heavy so it wasn't me this time.
Nice to see you again Mary, what a horrible story about that man, why he couldn't wait I don't know.
Deanna I'm not too bad but the pain in hips had me up again at 3-20, gets so I don't know what to do for the best. I feel like I'm moaning all the time but that is my life at moment, pain, I'll be glad when I see Macmillan nurse at pain management clinic.

hello

I finally went to the counselling service and sat the initial assessment today, I had cancelled twice previously because I couldn't cope with the trip there.

I managed it today - don't quite know how, but have been told they will put me on a 6 week session plan.

How I will manage travelling 1 day a week for 6 weeks I don't know.

Anyway I just thought I would add to your thread - thanks for reading.

Well done Gill, you have done the first step by going today, just tell yourself next week how good you felt because you did it today. We will be thinking of you.
Hope yours goes well too Kerry and we will be thinking of you too, let us know when.

Jules, what can I say, I have got myself in a tangle with my e-mails, they are just pouring in and I can't keep up, but I will answer them all. My cousin wants to know why I haven't answered him for about a month, ooer.
If Joyce is looking in, (Justice), I am getting there, still laughing, what a fabulous pm.
Deanna I hope your sickness wears off quickly, have you started any new tablets or anything?
Hi to anyone I have missed, my eyes are going to sleep as I type so better go.

Jules glad you got your tablets. I'm always running out! Take last ones then notice no new pack to start!

Deanna that nausea feeling is something I get, it's nerves. Try relaxation, or taking your mind off whats bothering you for a while x like watching a good film !

Carolina hope your back soon feels better x

Justice of Peace Report 27 Feb 2008 23:09

Good evening everyone,

I have not posted for a few days but have just read through all your exploits, traumas, positive strides taken but more importantly I have sensed that all important message of understanding, which accompanies each posting.

I know this has been mentioned before but we are certainly sitting on a winner here.....we have in our midst excellent writers, humourist, financial advisors (me), comics, clowns, hairdressers I believe, am sure we have makeup artists, painters and decorators... any doctors or nurses in the house, but most of all we have the patients........Has anyone got a clue where this posting is leading?...like a TV soap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we have all the right ingredients for a smash hit, what do you think?

Maybe some of you would like to take on lead parts, who fancies having a go....

Then there is the question of a title for this soap...I have thought up a couple but they are too saucy to be mentioned on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So how about it.. any suggestions????

With that thought I will love and leave you all and hide away just in case someone decides to call in the men in their white coats..lol.

Goodnight and god bless,

JoycePxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ann,

I nominate you for the position of writer and director... basic salary to start but you would get a percentage of box office takings..

Do you accept....
