Hi gang - nice to see we are still here, intact, though some of us are still a bit bruised!! we're a tough lot when all's said and done and it's so nice to hear from Gail [Ruby Slippers] and Caz, and you Puss - lovely to see everyone posting. Weather looks a bit grim here in Cardiff - take one of my friends to the supermarket every Friday so am trying to wake up a bit and look reasonable - just look like my Mum again this morning - every time I look in the mirror in the mornings it's Mum looking back at me!!!

Love to all, Ann XX

Oh Jules you've made me cry again, will you stop it.
Hi to Liz and Ann and welcome to Puss, sorry don't know your name Puss. moan as much as you want, no one judges on here. I think constant pain is so hard to live with, as if I haven't enough I have started with another strange one. All my muscles ache badly, so bad at times I daren't move them, also I have really tender parts on my joints that make me jump when touched. It's not my fall down stairs that's done it, it's been happening for a few months. Has anyone else got anything like it, I don't want to go to doctors if I can help it as I'm sick of doctors and hospitals now.

Caz it's so nice to see you xxx Oh dear you do sound low today. When was the last time you went out in the fresh air? Just to stand in the garden would be nice wouldn't it. Are you still covered in black and blue, turning yellow? Poor you. Do you tell oh how you feel, or hide it from him so it doesn't seem like you are always moaning? I think you should go and call the doctor again and tell him about your pains. Are you sure you didn't break anything when you fell? As for your muscles aching, after the fall you probably feel very tense, so hold yourself in a different way, to compensate for pain, this will make you ache. Relaxing must be very difficult for you, but that is what you need to try. As you say it had been happening for a few months, could it be a side effect of any of your medications?
Do you need some change in them to cope with the pain? Please see your dr, it won't take long then it'll be over and you can hopefully get some relief from the awful pain. Love Carole xx

Gail I had been asking where you were. Nice to see you are ok. You have been through it with both of you being ill. Glad to know you are better. Takes some getting over when you feel low anyway. xx

Ladylol why on earth didn't you jump in here sooner!! ((((((XX))))) you are welcome here. There is lots of sadness here, but also an amazing amount of love and caring. The odd joke as well. You went through what kid's shouldn't have to go through, no wonder you take AD.'s I'm so sorry that happened to you. I've seen a lot of post's by you and you too hide your sadness. Funny isn't it how we all have a public face and cry on our own. It's like two sides of us. No wonder that depression is hard for others to understand. Hope you will feel comfortable and join in with our lovely suport group xx

Hi Elaine, pleased you have an appointment to talk to the doctor. Will you know what you need to say? If you make notes, when you are in the doc's it might help you remember which things are most important to tell him. Let us know how you get on,xxx

No time to go through everyone's names but well done to you all for the progress you have made in whatever direction and try to keep up the good work but don't beat yourself up if you slip back now and then.

Hi Carolina, Liz and Carole, I wish I could sleep like you do Carolina, I sleep well but am always so tired, fatigued I'd say. The slightest thing makes me have to sit down for half an hour.
Liz what is fm? The pains in my muscles are similar to what I used to have in my twenties, the doctor said it was rhumatism then. Just before Christmas I saw my doctor and told her (she is on maternity leave just now), she pressed my inner elbow bone and I nearly shot out of the chair. She pressed her lips tightly together and wrote something on computer. My hips and shoulders are the same, very painful in certain spots.I might catch you tomorrow if I am early enough, missed you again lately. I'm being called for my tea now. I'll look in later

Gail...... hope your husband is getting well again. Give him my regards.

Thanks Carole.... I'm not doing great, but I did do it didn't I?
Have not yet started on the wardrobes... and yes I keep everything!

I can't throw things out.... if they cost money, then SOMEONE may need it. And that is how I end up with stuff I don't need.

Hope you are all doing well... you Ann? how are you ?

CAZ.... you a little up yet?

God Bless.

TALKING OF SLEEP....

Forgot to tell you all........... I slept for SIX hours on the trot last night!!

Hows about that then?
I have not done that for YEARS.
It will probably be as long before I do it again. ;-0(

AnnCardiff Report 22 Feb 2008 17:58

I'm fine thanks Deanna in spite of the rotten weather all day here in Cardiff. Fine misty rain, unrelenting and dark and miserable. Just had a nice surprise - I made a really angry complaint to a local double glazing firm who swamp my area every two months or so - two very cocky blokes turned up on my doorstep in spite of the fact that I have a notice on my door explaining I do not require new windows [ evident to anyone with one eye] and a particular reference to this company. Complained very angrily to the Managing Director yesterday who told me he was sacking the pair and then this afternoon had a large bouquet of flowers!!! See, it pays to complain

I saw your thread Ann.

You must be in a STRONG MOOD these days.

Actually, I find it often easier to fight back if I am going through a bad patch..... but, sometimes you could jump on my head and I would apologise to you for hurting your feet!!

I must be the most complicated woman out!!

Hi Deanna, no, a bit embarrased maybe. My hairdresser came this afternoon and just as she finished cutting it the phone rang. Putting the phone back on dresser I turned to speak to hairdresser and promtly ended up on the floor, she wasn't near enough to catch me and she said my face drained of colour, strange. I did feel awful for a while but am ok now so don't know what happened.
I think all the troubles I've got and my disablity and pain are just too much for me at moment, I need putting in a bag and shaking up.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 22 Feb 2008 22:30

Elaine - I think you should get it checked out with your GP. I suffered severe chest pains and heartburn for a long time - thought at times I was having a heart attack - eventually it was discovered my cholesterol was up in double figures!!! Simple solution - now on statins and it's fine, so that could be the problem. Only could be mind, best to get a check up.

Carole

Carole Report 22 Feb 2008 22:36

Caz what is this thing you have with throwing yourself at the floor! Did you think about seeing your doctor about the pain?

Liz, Mary, Deanna, my aunt keeps everything. She has wall paper left overs from years ago, boarders to go with them, I mean 50 years old. Her husband died about 15 years ago and she wants to give my oh or b i l his old jumpers. We tried to get her to send them in charity bags, but she says she would rather they go to family. No one wants them, so she will keep them. Auntie is 85. She has a Victorian laying out gown! And a coat she wore when she was a teanager. My mum passed on some maternity dresses and aunt still wears them ( I'm 49!) I wish I could take her shopping but she is such a scrooge! Took her to Farmfoods before Christmas she spent £15.00 and said to the girl serving her "You must think I'm having a feast". But she meant it!

Betty how are you?
Dave what you been doing?

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 22 Feb 2008 22:39

I've been wondering about Yorkshire Caz too!! Why do you have this compulsion to keep chucking yourself downstairs and on the floor - now come on - be honest - are you practising to be a stuntwoman in the next James Bond film?
