Well what a lot has been going on.
First off, Carolina, if you are looking in, glad you plan to keep taking the tablets and hope they help you, don't forget they take a while to do any good, three weeks sometimes so don't be too impatient.
Carole, well, easily done with the door, and whereever do you live to get the police round so fast? Ours just send you a crime number lol
What a thoughtful o.h. to suggest the sarnies for your daughter and her man, as Ann said, buy if you don't feel like making them or have forgotten a filling.
Betty, hope you get your computer fixed and also that you manage to sort that gp problem out, find a better one and life could improve for your son and for you.
Mary, those cabbage leaves sound lovely and have given me an idea for a meal another time. Wish there weren't so many mentions of food on here tho, it always makes me hungry lol then I go and eat crisps or toast!
And Ann, what can I say? Thanks for always being around to talk to others, nice you had visitors and lunch sounded good. Enjoy not having so much to do on Monday lol

Liz I was wondering when you'd turn up. . . .
Today we had a simple supper - pancakes and 'real' maple syrup - oh sorry Liz, you didn't want to hear about food.
Tomorrow everyone except myself can stay home from school & work. It's a new statuatory holiday here which they have called "Family Day". So, as a family, we are heading to the "Sugar bush" in the morning, for our annual tour of the area, where hundreds of maple trees have spiggots inserted into their trunks to drain the sap into buckets. They have part of it set up so people can see how the pioneers produced the syrup, you walk into the wood through a snowy trail, see people boiling down the sap into syrup in big pots over open log fires, in front of their log shelters.. The actors are all in pioneer dress, the children can take a turn sawing logs, they have a ride on a big old horse-drawn hay wagon, and there are several farm animals for petting, along with donkey rides in the snow. I should be thoroughly exhausted by the time I leave for work!!
Good night all.

They serve a meal (which they call breakfast) of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon or ham, fried spuds and baked beans,or any combination thereof, all slathered in maple syrup. To me it's the whole days rations in one sitting ! I'll have egg, baked beans and spuds myself. Now if they would just add a fried tomato . . . . .
oh sorry Liz are you hungry??????
I am heading to bed, have a lot to eat in the morning . . . .

Hi all. just come down from my bed put the kettle on looked to see if any text from H and turn on computer! Normal routine for a day when I 'm not at work! Text said just boarding and turning phone off until Abu Dubi. That was at 10 to 3 this morning. Fancy leaving Aus to come back to the cold I woke up to!
I think when oh asked me to make sandwiches for them was just a wake up call! It said they will soon be home and I got a bit emotional. I can make the sandwiches, won't drop tears in them!!!

Hi Betty, these kids using laptops and computers just isn't on when it's us that want to use them! I have the same problem. Son talks to people on ours more than he talks to me. How many kids have you got? How do the others cope with the one who has the unspellable problem!! And in return does it affect how you are with them? The one who is ill must need more attention so do the others feel left out or jelouse? (SP)

Liz I think someone thought we had been murdered in our beds!! Don't know how long it took from phone call to the police arriving! How are you, doing any sorting yet? You have an aim to go home. Do you need to sort that house first or the one you are living in?

Mary wait for me! I'm coming to the maple syrup forest!! It sounds a great place to go. I love that sort of thing. And the maple syrup on breakfast I love that when we go to Florida. As for having a family day we use to have one every week, it's called Sunday!!

Hi Deanna. Did you have a good week end? What did you do?

Carolina if you look in I agree with Liz the tablets can take about three weeks to make any difference. So don't stop thinking they don't help you it's early yet.

Hi Dave anything to tell us? How have you been?x

Malc are you still looking in? Let us know how you are. When is your next appointment for anxiety management?xx

Karl have you been here recently?x

Caz ~~~~~~~~ how are the stairs? And you of course! lolxx

Caz ~~~~~~~what you been up to? xx

Irene did you get the cold room fixed? How are you?x

Dave have you tried any relaxation during the day to bring the anxiety down? There are some good relaxation cd's if you like music, or other tecniques where you are talked through a senario, available on cd.

AnnCardiff Report 18 Feb 2008 12:40

now here's a little cheer up ditty for those of you who don't like mornings - I think it's one of Shakespeare's sonnets

MORNING POEM

I woke early one morning
The earth lay cool and still
When suddenly a tiny bird
Perched on my windowsill
He sang a song so lovely
So carefree and so gay
The slowly all my troubles
Began to slip away
He sng of far off places
Of laughter and of fun
It seemed his very trilling
brought out the morning sun
I stirred beneath the covers
Crept slowly out of bed
Then gently shut the window
And crushed his f.....g head
I am not a morning person!!

Oh Ann, I love that verse, I definitely don't do mornings, never have, except when I had to earn a crust lol

Carole, hi, I have to sort out my house to give the heating engineer room to assess what is needed to get the system working, and I need to sort out my stuff at this house cos it drives o.h. mad, this is a very small house and the storage is minimal. When I first met him I couldn't believe I had walked into a house with no books, and therefore no bookcase or shelves! He rarely reads anything more than a computer mag or similar. He never ever reads fiction, occasionally glances through a book about our area or something, but usually falls asleep, but then he does have a sleep problem. He falls asleep after meals, reading, watching tv, sitting outside, when I am driving, anywhere. No company at all!
He can't understand the pleasure and relaxation I get from reading a novel, I get through an average of 2 a week.
Gotta go and do some errands, and cold but bright day at the mo so better make the best of it before the fog comes down again.
See you all later,
Lizxx

Irene when does your plane land,I'll gladly pickyou up. We can fly from Hamilton now to Cardiff or Manchester, much cheaper than going the extra hour into Toronto . . .
I'm going to have some maple syrup for each of you, taking my cane in case I can't get back to the car!!

I think I've carried the idea of peace in the house too far, when I got up this morning there was a CD player in the bathroom, with nature sounds playing. My daughter megan (who bless her heart is challenged), thought it would relax the cat while we are out!!!!!! PMSL .
