My neighbours all think I am mad . After finishing the weeding yesterday I spent hours pulling out clover on my hands and knees .If I got a pound for everyone who suggested I buy weed killer I would be rich .I enjoy de clovering though listening to radio 2

Big mistake today I went to B&Q forgot pensioners get discount on a wednesday .When I got to check out the lady asked me if I was over 60 !!!!! so much for looking my age
Booking in for a face transplant next week .

I did ASDA as well so feeling quite proud of myself today and Carole I didn't need the loo !

Hi Everyone

Well I went to my therapy session today with an open mind.
I actually found something in todays session that I can work on and hopefully start to beat this stupid thing in my brain that causes all the anxiety attacks and depression .
actually got a positive frame of mind today about tackling my problems but only time will tell

Thistledown Report 23 Apr 2008 22:56

Hi everyone,
Malc that is great that you got something good from to-days session that you can work on, make it a goal that you can achieve, and you will be so proud of yourself, then you might think of something else to set as a goal for yourself.
Elaine and Ycaz, you both put me to shame with your achievements after so much ill heath while I have the usual problems and moans.
Carolina I still have no luck with those rellies but will persevere for awhile anyway.
Carole hope that your dad and friend are improving each day.
Liz disappeared again?, love the thoughts of a double bed all to myself might get lost in it.
Eileen nice to see you back, sounds as if you had a wonderful time with grandchildren.
I am very rather upset at the moment as my son John said last night that he was going to America, but only after I asking him what he was doing with his money because he wanted bus fair for to-day, he said that he should have gone on monday but something happened, so I asked him who was he going with he said nobody, I don't believe him I' SORRY, I rang his brother Scott he said that John had told him 3 months ago but it was not his place to tell me, his father did not know either. Sarah (daughter) did not tell us until two weeks before she got married that she was either, and I was told by my sil that Scott was moving down the country the day that he moved.
I dont know why they do it, I often ask myself where i went wrong. I tell them everything that i do.
I also feel sick about that mother and disabled son that were murdered,R.I.P. I worked with disabled people before i got married. they (the mother and son) are from the same town that my husband is from REDDITCH.
Finished moaning now, thank you for listening everyone.
Hope to see you on again soon.
Ben, Maximary, Sharon, Gail, Gill, JoyceP, Joyce, Dave, and anyone that I missed.
P.S. Eileen I have that poem "Lake IsLe of Innisfree" on the thread My favourite poem.
Bless everyone hope that your pains and worries ease before to-morrow and that you all have a peaceful night tonight.
Betty.

Hi everyone,
Malc it is so good to see you back and with a positive outlook now, keep working on what it was that you found in yesterdays session. Keep us up to date won't you, I have a feeling you will be another of the threads successes.
Betty I am doing no more cooking a full meal, I felt so proud of myself but yesterday I daren't move as everything was so painful. I normally prepare veg for when hubby comes home to cook it, but it takes me so long and I have to rest afterwards, don't really know what got into me on Tuesday.
Ok Eileen I won't mention Boogie again, if I was a nice person I would send you my copy, but I'm not where his book is concerned. Hubby and I have banned each other from reading it in bed, ever tried to sleep when the bed is jumping up and down when he is trying to not laugh out loud?
Joyce might not post today as she wasn't very well yesterday, this cold has got her down and she slept all afternoon and went to bed early, get well soon Joyce.
Mary your garden sounds to be coming along very nicely, I don't know where you get the time from with everything else you do.
Ben you seemed to be doing really well, pop on when you can and let us know how you are doing. That goes for Dave as well where are you Dave, and Angela I haven't seen for a while,
I think I have got Sue's problem with senior memory, to everyone else hello and have a good day.

Hugs to all
Caz xx

Dave a search party is coming to look for you xx

Betty,,,,,,,, my daughter just did the same! I knew she was looking to move to Nottingham and had looked at property to rent. But Sunday oh told me she was moving out Monday. No mention of it from her to me though. Monday I got home from work she had gone. Tuesday morning I went in her room to put washing on the bed. It was folded up and everything off the shelves had gone! It felt cold in there and so bare. So then Tuesday night she phones crying she misses us!! I don't understand

Well as you can see I have a bit of time this morning. No work today. But taking mum to visit dad so thats my afternoon full. If we stay with dad a couple of hours it's five hours out of the house for me. Then I might take Mum shopping if she feels up to it. The house will stay put and all the jobs that need doing will wait. I try not to think about it or I would get stressed. Also want to go visit my friend
who is still poorly. Been being sick for three weeks, dehydrated so taken into hospital. Sent home still sick dehydrating again! Put on strongest tablets to stop it. Now waiting to go have camera down throte.

Caz, please carry mentioning Boogie, he never fails to make you laugh, does he?

Carole, the Book is called 500 Miles Walkies by Mark Wallington.Caz reminded me of the author's name. Really worth reading!
I couldn't help laughing at you telling Elaine not "to do an Eileen on it"....
My mother was rather strict, also prudish, so I was very suprised when we were walking to a hospital one day. About 15 minutes into our journey, she suddenly said she forgot to put some knickers on.I can still picture the road where she said this.Must be in the genes.....or drawers. Her Mother's Daughter...good book that.
Yipeeeeee, we have a dentist appointment at 17.30, must be the nicest thing that has happened all week, well... erm...not really. Will need an extra pair of knickers by the time I have been in to him. Must really stop being such a low down bum....gutter mentality, that's what I have.
Forgot to mention that daughter Eleanor from 2 doors down, left a bunch of 40 lovely yellow roses on the table before she picked me up from the station on tuesday evening, and a sweet little note, thanking me for "always helping".I keep every single note, drawing, card etc. from my children & grandchildren, have a special big 'memory case' up on the second floor here.Do any of you also do this?

Hi Tory and welcome to this other wonderful thread. It's been a huge help to me, personally speaking, where we feel safe to outpour all the anxieties, for which someone always has something supportive to offer.

YCaz my garden isn't lovely yet, but I am hoping . . .it's one of my "sanity" interventions!! A little at a time, but I want the whole thing done yesterday. Only have a couple of hours this am so must run.
I feel under too much pressure to be able to relax, having trouble with my leg which was operated last December. Each night after work, I find myself saying "I can't do this any more", then I am back the next day for more. Short-staffed, there must be a full moon as everyone was "off" yesterday evening. I ended up being in charge of the 231-bed facility, plus giving meds to 58 patients, only sat for 20 mins all evening. It's unsafe and scary.
Have a good day everyone.

Hello all, Well I had my hospital appointment this morning 11am, for that read 11.40 as, as usual they were running late. And, going there on the bus we were early so it was an even longer wait. still we had time for a cup of coffee in the hospital cafe.

I didn't see Mr Godden who did my op but a female Associate Consultant who was 'sharing his load' (her words). She was very pleasant, looked at the scar and pronounced it 'fine', looked through my file which is fairly thick, goodness knows how thick files must get if you have a serious op. Confirmed it was a rodent ulcer but that it should not cause any more problems, there was apparently a 1.5 cm area clear around it taken so it should not re-occur. I have to go back in 6 months to have the scar checked as apparently it takes 6 months before it starts to flatten, 18 months before it is completely flattened.

OH didn't come in with me but, as she left the door open he might as well as, he has excellent hearing (unlike me) and could hear every word from his seat in the waiting room down the corridor.

We then went on into town bought a few bits and had lunch out plus a glass of wine. got home about 3pm.

Malc, glad you found something of use at your therapy and so pleased to see you being positive about it.

Joyce, poor you, hope you feel better soon, we miss you.

Carole, thank you for your thoughts.

Tory, hallo, yes, seen your thread, welcome to this one, it is such a help when we are feeling down to come on here to be jollied along.

So.... Just the sugar blood test to go now and that is next week.
