Hi everyone, now my friend has been taken to hospital. She really did look ill Monday, so now she is on a drip and antibiotics so hope she starts to feel better soon. Mum is feeling ill with a cold so
can't go see Dad tomorrow. Oh and sister will go with me. No one has been to see Dad since Monday. I'm a bit upset at that, as I have been at work I thought others would go to see him.

Off to bed now so will catch up tomorrow xxx

There are only 20 of them in the phone book but none at that address, not suprisingly lol Will talk to you about that again another time.

Hi Betty, the boxes of books were at my son's flat, he has several boxes of my things that were at my Mum's when she died and then went in a friend's shed. When he moved I had to shove the things in my lad's loft in a rush so was nice to see what was there lol
Would take more than a few books to make my house look bare, sadly. One day, tho, I will find the floor again lol
Glad Maria is ok, is her nose alright now? Hope your lad is doing well too.

hello all, I've just come in from the garden, it's a much bigger job than I had let myself relalise, but an inch at a time. . . . I was happily pulling weeds in a front bed and my neighbour came over from next door. The people across the road were renting a 2-storey semi-detached house there and the wife left about 2 weeks ago and the husband filled the front lawn with bags and boxes on the weekend. he left yesterday. Well this evening the landlord was there and was talking to my neighbour,the couple had split and apparently left the house in an awful state, he said it would require thousands to repair the inside damage. Colleen came outside to help me weeding and got talking to the man also.
Big news of the week on this quiet street . ..
The basement was full of a marijuana grow-op. !!!!!!!! Huge lights, benches of soil and peat moss, they had bypassed the hydro meter so were stealing hydro from someone else. I couldn't believe it.
There were 2 kids in the house, 2 very young boys, what have they been exposed to I wonder.

The landlord had someone helping him clear the house, and the other chap offered to take all our accumulated junk from the basement and attic to the dump for me. he is bringing us a swing set for Sarah, someone called him yesterday to remove one on the weekend, and instead of taking it to the dump,he is going to give it to us. I've been pricing them and was feeling very discouraged at the cost.
The best part was, Sarah, who never volunteers any language without prompting, made eye contact with the man and said "thankyou". Independently. A big step for her.
I am feeling very "up" tonight.

Wow Mary, that is brill!! Well not the maijana factory but the swing set and the stuff being moved for you. You must have felt like Christmas had come early and especially when Sarah said thank you to the chap, bet you sniffled a bit lol
Those poor kids who had such bad parents! Hope Social Services pick them up and look after them, the parents aren't fit, that's obvious.
When my son got his flat he went to the loft, just a small area through a pull down hatch, and he had to use a stepladder to get up there. It was obvious someone had had the same idea in there, there were flourescent tubes, dead plants out of their pots, just slung across the insulation, and all sorts of things there. And the place was supposed to have been cleared by the people working for the Housing Association! In one cupboard we found a big preserving pan and a bag containing what looked like the skeleton of a cat, quite clean but sure it was a cat's bones. Was a young woman and her boyfriend had the flat before, just in her name, and she got an inheritance so bought a house. My son still gets letters etc for her and her fella, obviously they owed lots of bills etc and my son has had bailiffs round for the bloke. He has lived there about 7 years and still the mail comes, luckily he has her forwarding address which I got through a friend of a friend, so he just passes the stuff on.
Hope the swing set gets Sarah outside and happy, and the things you have planted grow and flourish.
Make sure you get some lottery tickets - while you are on a lucky streak lol

Colleen's ex gave her some cash last evening, not enough but at least gets both vans filled up for us and bought out the chicken which was on sale this week.
off to the shower now, I think my head is full of soil from miniMary helping to weed, quite a bit became airborne!!

I received a pm from our Y Caz last night who asked me to pass on a message, maybe it is a bit early in the day to mention same but she might not be posting today.. it has been one very busy week for her and her body, which has taken one hell of a beating, is telling her to slow down and rest xx..go for it gal you deserve it.....

As for Deanna well!!!!!!!!!!!! she has the cheek to agree that maybe I do talk too much when she herself posts a hundred times a day....I only post once but then I do beat her by using up the 5000 characters allowed, plus...... one up on me lass...lol.

This posting was meant to be hi and bye so reckon I will zip my mouth and get on with my intended walkabouts...

Joyce P.... it was my knicker elastic which broke when I was out to dinner on Tuesday... Do you realise how difficult it is buying knicker elastic these days??

I got a cup of tea in bed but no toast then he went back to his bed as it was too early for him

I am at the fhs just now and got a lovely bunch of flowers from one of our members and a card and birthday cake from the others .
