Elaine, how dare you call my husband...an Allien!! ;-0)

He is not very well today Elaine. He is in bed now reading his paper.
Tony made sure he was relaxing... he never listens to me, only his son. I think the reason is that being a couple, we can argue with each other.. but son just says....and dad does! good job I have someone who can bully him into looking after himself.
You can do it Elaine, but if you find that TODAY you can't.... then that is no great set back love.... you will do it when you do it!
I used to have days like that long after I was better. You will make, it is just a matter of time and understanding YOU. X

JP.... what's all the nudging about?
We know you're there! x
How are your blood tests?

Shaz, I also get the shakes, I think it is quite a common thing with nerves. I used to get the shakes internally... no one saw them, but I felt quite ill with them. Went on for a good few years too... but we will get there...x

Betty are you sure you have the Claddagh ring positions correct?
I wear mine 'heart to hand', as that was what it said in the box.
My husband comes from Leitrim, just down the road from Sligo, is that where you come from then?

Malc bless you love, why did yo feel that way?
Were you uncomfortable in the session, or was it not a good session?
I will PM you if it's okay.... I think i will anyway! ;-0)

Liz, Carole, and everyone I have not mentioned, take care and be good to you.

Hi gang. Been trying to keep up with posts but not getting there. Up to about page 170 so far.

MY NEPHEW'S WIFE IS IN LABOUR.

So very exciting, am on tender hooks just now. I is their first child. Cannot wait.

Still on Tramodol, Dr said "you can take up to five a day if you want" yeah right, one or two make me ill. But it helps, so between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Love to all

Elaine.... I was joking....

I just looked and then looked again, and laughed.
I would never have said it had i known it would hurt you. I would never want to do that. I am such a nutter that my friends would never be upset by me. I have one who if she phones me when Emmerdale is on... or Corrie, I ask her if she is okay, is there anything wrong? If she is okay... i say... *love yah Lisa, but *** off I'm watching Emmerdale.;-0)
We have been friends for Years..

Mine yo i have another friend, and I could say *I'll have to go....* a dozen times , and she would keep talking! ;-0)
But I love them both.

Afternoon all xx
I believe a few of you might remember where I was coming from by my nudging, I am a devious wee soul when it comes down to 'numbers', the story behind this tale being that Ann GG made the 1000th posting on this thread, I was desperate to make the 2000th but Carole T beat me to it..I believe she was one tenth of a second ahead of me. Obviously I am aiming for the 3000 mark but just to make sure I got at least a 'silver star' I cheated by nudging for the 2500th, no hard feelings I hope.lol.

To continue my 'walkies' saga.. I posted on Tuesday morning prior to setting out, saying that food and water requirements were at the ready,Toby raring for off , weather was fine but what was missing were the porters, who never did turn up!!.
Not to be outdone me and T set out minus food but taking boiled sweets and a small bottle of tap water(so much for our picnic). We met up with lots of companions but of the doggy kind..don't people keep their dogs on a lead anymore..eventually found a bench seat within a glade and sat and watched the animal/bird kingdom pass by. Needless to say T left his scent everywhere and I had visions of being like the Pied Piper and dogs following on behind us all the way home.. for once this journey held no exciting stories to relate, except for the beauty of the surrounding countryside...
Wednesday's computer class also passed without any hiccups, nobody lit up a cigarette or demanded cups of tea or even interrupted by going to the loo! myself I believe it was because we had a stand in tutor, he wasn't Brad Pitt but he was one very big guy, all 6'x3", handsome and sweet talking, actually I think the lesson was a waste of time and doubt if any tuition was absorbed mentally, everyone appeared to be mesmerised by this guy, arrrrrr lovely!!!!!
Today was doctor's/surgery day... pleased to say my blood test/s showed that my internal organs had not deteriated any further? the inhalers which my anaesthetist prescribed and which I have been using have now been banned and replaced with two other brand..one of the new ones has powers similar to Jeyes fluid..it kills all known germs in the lungs..just hope the rest of me is safe!!..it was also arranged that I start my non smoking therapy next Tuesday... blimey the rate I am going I will turn into a will-of-the-wisp and disappear in a puff of smoke..I cannot keep up this pace of activity, t'is wearing me out, not getting me fit.... at the moment I am fit for nothing..lol.
BUT I did achieve a personal best this morning, instead of the taxi bringing me straight home I got the driver to drop me at our local chemist.. got my prescriptions filled then hoofed it for home..route being road on the left, bushes and trees to the right.. me stuck dead centre up the middle...wavering was out of the question, no walking stick, sorry Caz, no Toby...just little old me..I made it but with no breathe to spare...do you reckon that deserves another silver or gold medal xxxx

For once may I be excused for not mentioning individuals in this posting because my brain is really dead right now, especially after a restless night when the brain was in overdrive.. the reason being because of a couple of postings of yesterday and their content were teasing my thoughts and I couldn't relax....subject being 'knicker elastic'...one up or maybe down, for you Deanna xxx

It reminded me when I was hospital last year, one of the problems I was having to contend with was a serious bout of 'the runs', bad enough at the best of times but with a catheter tube and dangling bag together with a drip in the arm and another hanging bag of fluid attached to a upright pole, I thought I had enough to contend with, but no..because carting all this 'armour' about was time consuming and time was not on my side, obviously.. the powers that be decided to deck me out in 'paper knickers'!! to save on hygiene.. hands up who has ever tried
to wrap a larger than life babies disposable under and around their middle whilst being attached to so many pipes and bags, nigh impossible let me tell you..

I remember so well one night when my daughter came to visit, she brought her camcorder with her to take film for family to view.. deciding on a pose I suggested if she could find someone to blow down the 'shunt' in my arm I could be the lastest version of the bagpipes, skelton and all..after all I had the pipes and bags, all we needed was the music...the other patients were cheering her on when the staff sister appeared... she was not amused....it's interesting that when I was rushed to the same hospital three months later I ended up in the same ward and guess who I was met by, yes that same staff sister.. her opening words were 'OMG it's not you back again'.

I am please to say that my humour stayed with me during my stay in hospital and it stood me in good stead, as it does on this thread.

Just noticed I only have 64 characters remaining to say my farewells, 20 now..happy readin

Oh Joyce, what a star you are, you can have silver and gold stars! There is never a dull moment with you around lol Hope you don't take this the wrong way and no one else gets upset, but I wouldn't want to be at your funeral. Everyone will be on tenterhooks whether you will suddenly shove the lid up and do a song and dance routine or something! If not that, then sure to be something mindboggling, dramatic or pmsl moment. Anyway I am sure you won't go quietly, not that I am wishing you anywhere for many a posting.

Carole, yes it is hard to let go and I will do a boot sale when I have sorted out a lot of unwanted stuff but I need to pull out the rubbish and papers first so I have room to sort out the good things. I will get there eventually.

Car mot and service is going to cost just over £600, I nearly had heart failure when K told me, but he has arranged to have it done early next week as he said getting another car, which might not turn out to be a good buy, and would take time and effort to find, would cost more than that so if we get another year's motoring out of this one, is fine. I rang the dvla today to see what was happening with the licence thingy, and they haven't even contacted the doctors yet, and can't do it by email or fax as not secure altho they can accept faxes back. What a longwinded rigmarole, all the same if he wasn't supposed to be driving! He did say if he hadn't heard he wouldn't get the car done but thankfully, he has changed tack now and will go ahead with the work.
One less worry for me.
As you can imagine my head is still all over the place, lol, what a vision! Consequently I am still unable to respond to everyone individually but will say love and hugs to all and hope you can all make little steps to a better outlook.
Remember, an inch is a cinch, but a yard is hard, so try to do small things towards your bigger goal.
Thanks to all who help me so much.
Lizxxxx

P.s. Elaine, dinner sounds lovely, can I pop round please?
I do love roast lamb dinners!

Gail, hope little one makes an appearance soon.

Deanna, my coz is like that, and K's dad and stepmother, can't talk to them when Corrie or Emmerdale etc is on. Glad Allan will listen to his son, my o.h. won't take notice of anyone.

Hi everyone
Sorry that I have not posted for a few days .I have been reading the posts though .

I have been trying all week to get son to go back to uni .It is now nearly 4 pm and he is still in his pj's so little chance of him going today !!
Yesterday's excuse was that he couldn't find his return rail ticket .We spent the whole day searching his room .Well at least the hoover saw parts of his room not seen for years .
At 8pm he came waving ticket at me . He found it down the lining of his jacket !!!!
Excuse today is since it is my birthday tomorrow he want's to give me tea and toast in bed !!! I am likely to drop dead with shock if that happens so if you don't hear from me again you will know why :-)

Seriously I am worried as I don't want him to ruin his chances also I get a pension for him but only while he is full time education and without that money I would struggle .

Better go check my knicker elastic before I do my stint at the fhs !!!

Hope you are all well
love

Hi everyone, just to let you know I am still around but quite busy at the moment, I read the posts when I can but whilst I am feeling good I must do as much as possible, it's a bit like being on a high but at least work does get started.
Got quite a few things on just now, I know I will overdo it but that's how my life runs.

Deana I know what you mean when emmerdale and corries on everyone in our house knows its no good talking to me I just dont hear them. The most embassing thing I did to my knickers was about a month ago I had constipation went doctors he told me I had a blockage. so had to take some sena. 2 days later in town stared to feel a rumble from my bum. Started to run to the nearest toilet, began to get the runs closed bum cheeks together to stop it coming, saw toilet ahead entered door relaxed. youve guested it explosion. All in my trousers. all in the toilet on the floor. Phoned mum and dad to fetch me and bring clothes, flanel soap towel. Had a cry. But later did see the funny side of it. As they say when youve got to go youve got to go, and I did. I hope know ones eating there tea. sorry if you are. Hi to everyone else going to relaxation classes tonight. Been to charity shop again I ironed some lovely baby stuff today. We get some bargins some of its brand new. O.M.G. Sharon I would NEVER have gone out again..... EVER!

You poor soul.... tip for next time.... take them in the evening... theoretically they should have worked by morning.
If not...... stay in! ;-0)

Anyway, where did all these knicker stories come from... just because I went out to dinner and my knicker elastic broke??

Liz, looks like we wont be eating tonight.
Allan has been asleep in bed since 3.30, bless him. This is just not my husband, he only does that if he is REALLY ill.
Still doctors tomorrow..

I will make a sandwich later when he wakes up.... but NOT WHEN EMMERDALE IS ON!

Gill, Janet, Kathy.... there is no law says you have to post daily... just when you feel like it is fine. and you can read when you want to. No stress here, this is our thread, our laws... and all our friends.

JP..... no I am not surprised to hear that you were the first person to hit the 5000 word mark ..... who else in this *club* is as 'yappy' as you are?
Well... yes me, but who else?

EMMERDALE................... BYEEEE

Deanna, hope you get a sandwich soon or the rumbling in your tum will drown the soaps and wake Allan. Bless him, hope the doc can help tomorrow.
Sharon, as I have ibs that sort of accident happens to me sometimes but only at home luckily. I carry a kit of spares and wet wipes around with me when out but touch wood, have not usually had a problem and been worrying about it and carrying the kit for years.
As you say, when you gotta go, you gotta go.

Had a snack earlier and been sorting out more papers, am I ill lol? Getting all my financial stuff up to date, filing bills etc, MaxiMary you would be impressed, it is you gave me the inspiration to get on with it.

love to all, have promised myself I will eat properly when I have finished the last batch of bills, so not long now.
