maxiMary Report 13 Apr 2008 16:24

Moning all, it's lovely and sunny here in the great beyond, but the ground is sodden. So I am clearing off a table to put a flat of tomato seeds - hopefully to grow!! we can't really plant seedlings here till the 3rd week of May so I may not have success at this late date but will try. want to be outdoors but it's chilly and damp.
I was so surprised yesterday, I came home in the car and my neighbours were in my side garden breaking up all the branches which had come down in the winter. I thought WOW, my old neighbours would have more likely been throwing their refuse over my fence - or criticizing my efforts in the garden - than do anything to assist me. Now, here are 2 older people, mind you they had an ulterior motive, they wanted the firewood for their son's cottage, but when they'd finished all the small bits were in a neat pile. What a treat to have cooperative neighbours.

I had someone here the day before to give me a price estimate on building some fencing to keep the 2 escapee grandchildren coralled. The neighbour said yesterday he had spoken with the man also and thought he seemed very decent, he said he had no trouble warming up to him, made me feel better as I feel very vulnerable being man-less in the house (except for gareth LOL). The neighbour is getting an estimate from him too.
My veggie garden is all drawn up on graph paper (that wretched perfedctionist who keeps appearing), and the seeds are all purchased and ready to go when the weather is better.
Nothing for it now, but to catch up on laundry and tidy up.
Good day to all, brain too foggy today (battling a migraine headache) to read or write much.

Lol Kathy, same thought as you, I thought I had better show my face. I am rather surprised at how late it is, tea time. I have been engrossed in someones tree, tracing it for a man in Australia whos family came from Bradford. Fascinating family, and it is so nice to be able to help. I am just the same but my legs now feel as if they are feather filled tubes, very strange, keep having to be picked up lol.
I'm glad to hear your dad is better carole, it will be a relief to all of you. Hows your mum coping?
Ben I am glad to see you on here again and getting some control back, good on you for ignoring the ignorant ones, it's the only way.
Mary and Gill I hope your migrain doesn't last too long. I used to have them when young they are horrible.
Where are Gail, Liz and Joyce today, then there's Dave, Malc and Angela, sorry but I can't remember anyone else off hand.
Then there's Deanna, she is getting cheeky so we might just have to ration the iron tablets.
Hello to Sharon, Elaine, Kerry, Betty, Vicky where's my e-mail Vicky? and anyone I have forgotten, I think I have done well today remembering so many names.
Hope you all had a good day.

Bit of a waste since I was asking your advice! ;-0)
Well it was about him so I expect he has a point!

Hi Everyone,
Carole it must be a bit of a relieve to see that your dad is getting a bit better, and your mam must feel better too, lovely to see oh taking some of the burden off your sholders even if it is only the sunday dinner.
Mary and Gill hope that your migraneare much better, horrible things dad used to suffer had to go to bed for two days curtains closed, cheese triggered it off.
Liz where are you, oh cooled off yet, they are like babies at times, soothers thrown out of pram. I wonder if they realise how frightening their behaviour can be they really know when to knock peoples convidence down to rock bottom.
Carolina hope that the family tree is growing.
, Ycaz, I am also helping someone in Austr.alia with her tree, her people came from Ireland, went to England then to Australia. I got back 5 generations on her Mothers side but leaving the husbands on the tree for awhile as I dont feel up to it this last week.
Ben it is great to see you on again,I would stay from rude and bulling threads though.Only small-minded people on them.
Hope that you get a better nights sleep to-night Elaine.
We have not heard anything back from police yet, Maria went out with an old boyfriend on saterday night for a meal, he started to ask her what happened to her she told him that she was mugged because she does not want everyone to know he said that someone told him what really happened and that he was going to get the fella. After awhile she asked him to bring her home and got very upset, he was talking to someone so she rang me very upset and he started shouting that she had let him down very badly, that he was bringing her home. I got a cab and went down for her she was sobbing her heart out. She is gone down to have a talk with him. Hopefully she is o.k.
The couple had she had gone up to the house with had the police visit them the other day, she was livid because they had not arranged with her first to say that they were going, her partner and her were susposed to go to police station yesterday to make a statement, but they did not go as they said that Maria was alright leaving their house, me thinks because one might trip the other up about phone call made to person that beat my daughter up. My daughter is thinking about going down the country to one of my sisters that is on holidays from work for a few days.I think it only hit her the other night about what happened.
To everyone else I hope that you are well and not in too much pain.
Deanna glad to see that Allan is feeling better now.
Kathy glad that I am not the only one that sometimes wishes that my kids would leave home even if it was only for a little while.
To Eileen Alice Farmer Giles Ann GG Kerry Elaine Joyce Joyce Ann,and everyone that has not been on of late hope to see you on soon again, Thank you all for your conituited support.
Love to you all.

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 14 Apr 2008 02:43

Hi all, off line again Saturday night, he had another hissy fit and was screaming and shouting. Because I was so tired, I got very upset. I will not let him bash my self esteem, as I know I am worth more than he gives. My son says he is a head case, he hasn't had time for him for years and if he ever caught him at his shenanigans I think my son would hit him hard, so I hope that doesn't happen as I don't want my lad in trouble and o.h. is such a wimp, he would report my lad for assault.
I spoke to the domestic violence woman whose number I have in my phone, I called her once before and have emailed her so she knows the set up and she is ringing me Monday pm when he is at work. Trouble is, I won't be able to get any help with living elsewhere as on a pension so the only place is my house, but have some ideas in my head, never fear.
Glad he fixed the computer again tho. It is awful when I can't get online.
I hope everyone has a good week starting now, and I will stay in touch as much as poss. Hope Maria goes to your sister for a break, will do her good and maybe she needs to break free from all her old flames etc, the latest lad didn't seem to help her much.
Kathy, will try and call you this week. Hope J sorts himself out soon.
To everyone who I haven't sent a message to, I am thinking about you, just can't get my memory into gear at the mo, am so tired.
love and hugs
Lizxx
Oh and Ben, well done, keep working on reducing the rituals etc - you are doing well. Just stay away from those daft folk who are rude.

Liz so glad to hear from you, what a nightmare you are living through, you know some of us understand the scenario only too well, having been through something similar. As a result we are concerned for your safety, and your physical and mental health.
Please let us know you are OK, wish we could do more to help than just stand by you, from a distance.

Liz I am so sorry you had another night of upset with oh, I think it's him that needs help, you have enough problems and if he can't see that he is very selfish. I wish you could get out into your own place but you won't be able to get a flat or housing if you have your own house. Would it be worth having a word with CAB to see if you could claim any help with anything if you move into your house? Let us know you are ok, as Mary says we are concerned for you.

Betty it's feels good doesn't it helping others, mine has come to a stop until I can get another birth certificate so at least I am keeping my hand in. This family also came from Ireland, two brothers, one married an Irish girl whose family had come over. This man I'm helping descends from him when his son went to Australia with his family. I don't know how to trace the brothers parents in Ireland though, any ideas. Hope Maria is alright now and I think it would do her good to get completely away for a while, her sister sounds a good idea.
Must go now tablet time but hello to everyone else, sorry I missed you out yesterday Ann GG, how on earth did I do that.

Justice of Peace Report 14 Apr 2008 09:37

Good morning to one and all xxxx

Thought I had better post this morning just in case a few 'unnamed' people gathered together as a posse, and came looking for me xxxx

Needless to say I have kept up to date with all your postings...used to be James Bond's partner in crime so nothing passes me by lol.

There have been many posting following on from the question of bullying which were prompted by Ben's posting.
So...V, Deanna, Ann GG, Betty, Liz,Mary and especially Ben, all I can say is 'been there, seen it all' and the reprecussions are horrendous.....at the end of the day the only answer is..walk away from it...easier said than done I know...I had two daughters who's first marriages were to INSECURE partners, THESE partners blamed them for anything and everything that went wrong..I will not go into detail but violence was used, bad news.....but once removed from their situations they both bounced back and continued with their lives..and very well they did too..one was a computer aided draughtswoman, the other is a IT specialist.

On a lighter note xx

Mary, would love to be with you right now and help to plant out seeds and such, always had 'green fingers' but my garden is the size of a postage stamp xx
Carole T, your Dad must be improving if he is joking with the tea lady, bless him xx
Elaine, what is 'sleep'...is it when you are supposed to rest and relax during the night, have forgotten xxxx
Deanna and Ann GG, a bit like you I also had to miss out on the marathon, was expecting visitors.lol.
Y Caz, hi lass xx...what a devil you are for punishment, researching someone else's tree as well as your own..cannot really help you out even though I do have contacts in N Ireland..or just maybe I can?
Deanna, you know what you can do with your iron pills don't you!! if you don't want to share then I will not share my B12 injections I am due to start once my blood test results are back...you can go off people you know xxxxxxx

As for me, welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.
I saw the anaesthetist last Wednesday and an appointment came through on Saturday for me to go for another Lung function test on the 2nd June..make or break time again regarding THE operation!!!
In the meantime I have to give up smoking, puff away at 200 odd inhalers and walk a marathon...
So, as for the walking, I have hijacked my daughter's dog (I sound a bit like that de Cruz woman in the hundred and one dalmations)..the idea came to me at the weekend when we were discussing how to exercise..our previous dog Rocky was put to sleep last November, bless him.. and daughter went in search for another stray and came across a so poorly, ill treated and mal nourished staffordshire terrier/cross beagle... she has slowly built up his confidence and trust, fed him the correct food and walked him to my home many times..so he knows me.
Rocky used to take 'me' walkies so it is now the turn of Toby..
He is going to be my front when I wobble and walk sideways up the court, t'is him pulling which causes my antics... would not mind a few of you guys helping me out just in case I get there (where ever there is)...might need a stretcher to carry me home....I have no choice but to at least make an attempt, so if you do not hear from me again you know I have been arrested..drunk in charge of one little doggy...lol.

Thats all my news for now folks but I just might post a little later, in the meantime try and have a happy day xxxxxx

JoyceP xxxx

p.s. Caz.. just checking to make sure you have some spare plasters just in case I need them. xxxx

LOL Joyce, I love it, with talking to you on the phone I read your posts in your voice, if you know what I mean, I am sat here with tears rolling down my face and Cocky saying 'what ya doing'. Not fair to blame Toby either for walking as if drunk, get your stick like I said, I couldn't walk across the room without mine, and I still go sidewards. At least Toby can't tell you you shouldn't have had that last drink while peeps are around, that's what hubby does to me.
Glad you have got your appointment through and you can manage to do what he said.

I have got it into my head I want to bake a cake, I might have a go later, haven't baked for ages and I used to love it.
Don't go too far Joyce will you, I would hate you to come back on your hands and knees, hee hee.

JOYCE P..... are you there?

Think about what you are offering me in exchange for my iron tablets.......a needle in my bum!!
No way Jose..... ;-0)

I will stick to my pills, they slide down painlessly with a drink of water!

Kathy, I think anyone with a son understands that statement... 'no sign of him leaving'.

Mine was the same.
YET.... he never missed a train and he never forgot anything important..
BUT, don't they frustrate you with their procrastination?

Shaz, you will be great in that interview... and they will be FOOLISH to turn down your talents and energy... so they might as well send all the others away!!
Good luck love.

Betty thanks for your good wishes for Allan and me, and i hope you and yours are well too.

I love this thread and everyone on it... and I must apologies for not remembering all the names at one time.
Carole has it off very well and Joyce P, they seem to remember everyone and everyone's pains and problems.

Hi everyone
Just to let you know I am feeling a lot better just now. I have been so bad that I could not come on here, went away with my mum for a few days and that helped too.
The thread was a life saver for me, knowing that I could just write how i was feeling but when the deepest despair comes I have to use my energy to fight it. My family have seen this so often but hey have been very supportive.
Anyway I have come through yet another bad period and am coping quite well.
Thank you all so much for being there.
Much love to everyone, especially Carole and Liz
