of course you should post Joyce, why ever not!!!!! So sorry to hear this news but look at it this way, what ever will be will be, the anaesthetist will only operate if she feels it is safe so just hang in there until Wednesday, only two sleeps to go as they say, and then you'll be on your way to the hospital with yoir mind so full of this that and the other you won't have time to be despondent hopefully - I'm sure with the advances in medical matters in the UK you will have the best outcome and we on this thread are all rooting for you every step of the way and wish you all the very best on Wednesday - please keep posting today and tomorrow until you actually leave for the hospital and see what daft things we have to say!!!! Hugs and kisses to you Joyce, Ann XXXXXXX

Hello everyone , love to you all,

I feel a bit of a fraud on here because i dont get enough time to read things through properly and get to know you all. Maybe its because my time is taken up with work and family, thats the reason my anxieties and worries come out in nightmares.

Hugs to all who need one,

Caz xxxxxxxxxx

JoyceP, lots of luck when you go to see the anaesthetist, at least you will know where you stand and can make the decision hard as it is. You know we will all be rooting for you and sending love and positive thoughts.

When I had a kidney stone the anaesthetist came to talk to me before the op where they wanted to insert a camera. He was so dishy, I nearly swooned. Because I knew what was going to happen, I decided before going in the day before to have a close shave, stop laughing, as I thought it would give the person doing the op an easier time lol I mentioned this to the nurse on the ward and she said it hadn't been necessary, they didn't shave people now.
When it was my turn to go down, I was asked if I minded very much there being a male nurse with me instead of a female as is usually the way. He said he would wear a skirt if necessary but if I wanted to wait till there was a female nurse available I might have to go home again as there were several off sick! As I wanted to get the procedure over, I said ok, but as I lay there waiting for the medication to take effect, I started laughing and blushing with embarrassment. I just wished I had a hidden microphone, where could I have hidden it lol? as I imagined the look on the face of the doc, the male nurse and the dishy anaesthetist when they were presented with a plucked chicken lol
I just wanted to get out of the hospital as quickly as poss afterwards lol

Hope this doesn't offend anyone, if it does, let me know and I will delete.

To all of you, love and hugs.
Betty, have pm'd you.

Is it my imagination or are you all feeling a little down these days?

Joyce P.... please don't worry about anything. the anaesthetist will not lie to you, in fact none of them should.
And you are going to be fine.
AND... you should post on here love, it is our thread to chat and tell our worries to each other. Why do you think that you should keep your worries to yourself?
Don't ever stay away because you don't feel you should impose your worries on us.
Where would I be without you to row with?? ;-0)

Liz a little counselling will do you good, it might do me good too. I've never been, but then I'm quite a talker. Perhaps my counselling comes from my friends...
And Carole, I did not realize that you were going for any type of counselling too
hope it helps you love.
AND... I have asked for a female nurse too. When I went for my first colonoscopy.
I told him everything, but did not want him in with me.
He was fine about it.
But I always think that there should be more male nurses about for the men, mine has had so really embarrassing experiences with female nurses. He never complains, but he feels it.

Betty what a time you are having just now.
I have never experienced that, but my sister has. Was married to a monster for about 6 years. How she did it I don't know, but he could wrap her around his 'sleazy little finger'. they had three children!
Things will surely change for you and your girl.. this world is full of 'baddies', but always remember that there are more 'goodies' in it!
good luck to you both.

ill, Irene, Carole, Ann... and any others I have not mentioned.... if you were in mt head through the day, you would find that I remember you individually all day!

And now my GOOD news.
We had a phone call from the hospital last evening to ask Allan to come to the hospital on Wednesday (tomorrow) yo see the cardiologist. so that was quick, lest just hope that he can do something for him... and quickly.

My son sees the Cardiologist on Thursday... oh boy what a merry round of doctors appointments we all have , don't we?? ;-0)

Have a good day all of you.

Hi everyone! Just a brief visit today. Sorry I've been away so long but life has been hectic. I was really down at Easter & didn't feel like talking to anyone at all.
As some of you know my b/f has terminal lung cancer & we live 60 miles apart. He still has been too ill to drive so he got a couple of mates to bring him, his car & a lot of his belongings up here last week.
I have managed to get him to take all his pills at regular times and he has started eating again. He sleeps such a lot that I have to keep waking him up for the pills.
I actually feel a bit better now that I can keep an eye on him. He had no one to do it where he was living. He is so much weaker than he was 5wks ago.

That's enough of my moaning, you all have your own problems. Hugs to all of you that need them.

Next apptmt Weds of next week.

Lovely to hear from you again .We always worry when we don't hear from one of our gang for a while . Problem is our gang is getting so big that only the sharpest eyes and brains ( and that is not me ) remembers every one .
Glad to hear that he is safe home with you and you can look after his medication .
Who is looking after you ?
You take care
We are all here for you

Justice of Peace Report 9 Apr 2008 07:02

Morning one and all,
Just to let you know I am still sane, if not a little zany!!.
Am keeping myself busy doing everything but nothing, if you know what I mean.
I would like to thank you all for the well wishes and pm's I have received, don't know where I would be without you xxxx
Even my daughter thinks that keeping me busy will help my fevered brow..wow.. she arrived on Tuesday morning with two pink bin bags full of dirty washing..my grandaughter spring cleaned her bedroom which included all drawers, cupboard and wardrobe...I ended up with most of the contents to wash and refresh.....did think of hanging same out to dry but decided it would resemble something like the united nations flag day!!
There were 8 bra's, 32 pair of pants, two body forms!, 28 pair of socks, numerous shirts and blouses, etc, in every colour of the rainbow....I remember in my day my undies consisted of either navy blue or bottle green knickers, white ankle socks, liberty bodices and vests..oh so sad..lol.
Last night I settled down to watch TV and how ironic can one get! lo and behold Holby City showed someone having an aneurysm operation...they made it look so bl..dy simple and easy, I could have screamed! Did think of screaming in your direction Deanna but decided I had teased you enough.lol.
Daughter will be arriving around 10.30am for a cuppa then off once again to my 'second home'...will update you on what's what a bit later.
As you can guess I am just waffling away and not really saying anything...as I usually do..lol.
Whoever is looking for help, going for tests or whatever today I wish you well...
Bye for now,
JoyceP xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good morning to you all. I'm loosing the plot at the moment, so much on my mind with Dad being in
hospital. I'm doing 70 mile round trips to take Mum to see him on my days off work. Today I have a day off as I'm at the counselling sesion later. I'm really dreading it as I was told to think about some things last time, to talk about this time, but I can't remember what they were! I feel like a child that is going to get told off! FGS I'm 49! This is part of my problem, I always worry I'll get told off if I have done something wrong, or forgot to do something. I'm already running to the loo. Goodness knows how I'm going to be able to get out of my house today! I have not taken any imodium since September but feel I want to take it today! But I don't want to get back into that. So won't take it, which leaves me with the problem of needing the loo when I can't go. The door at the clinic is kept locked and they let you in when you ring the bell! But they don't always hear it. I could be stood there ages desparate for the loo! Can you tell I'm panicing? I should get some rescue remedy again. I might do it in stages by going to look round a nearby shop whick has a loo! But it's not near to home so I still have to get up there! I would be fine if I didn't have to go out today! But I do ...........
see you later xxx
