Hi All, sorry not been on before been busy sorting things and packing. thanks Gill for the good wishes I hope I will feel a lot better when we come back. Should be back on here on 19th. Shall be thinking of you all and, being nosey, will be wondering what is happening here! Don't like to miss anything.

Deanna (((hugs))) for you and Alan, so sorry it didn't work this time.

Ellan, are you OK now? This is a good place to escape to.

Liz, hope you get back on track soon

gill, you seem to be brighter today, that is great.

Elaine, I do hope that they sort it for your daughter.

Janet, it will all get done in the end. You need some of Deanna's pills!!!.

Mary, Carole I know you were there, can't remember if there was anything I wanted to say. willa dd this and check back, it was so long by the tme I came on.

Gail, How could your SiL take all the credit for the tree research. I would have had to have said something afterwards out of MiL's hearing. Did MiL also sit and let her take the credit? that is sooo mean of her.

Just a quick pop in, still very tired.

OH and I had our wedding anniversary yesterday, yeah I know the 1st of April. At least he never forgets.

I have been trying to catch up but at the moment am having trouble with concentration. Am in overload with pain levels as have not been pacing myself over the last few days, I think it is from all the feather spitting.

I received a lovely thankyou card this morning from MIL's niece, I gave her and her brother a copy of family tree, what I could print out, was a shortened version, due to shortage of ink. It was really lovely and thoughtful.

Hugs to all

Gail

Ann have a lovely holiday, Just spotted you post. We will miss you.

MIL did not hear at the time but someone told her (not me) and she has had words with SIL since.

Carolina: You will uncover many skeletons in tracing trees, I have uncovered many, some can be hurtful. At least there is a chance he is still alive and that is a plus. The lies/untruths, unfortunatly do hurt and will continue to do so. Try to look for the reasons behind them first, before making a decision. The reasons could have been money or emotional. I really hope you find the lost brother. My MIL had a brother who was fostered out in the early 1900's, he had passed away when I tracked him down, he lead a happy and fruitful life and MIL was very happy to know this. Now I am trying to track another brother as well, all we know is that he is still alive, and there is still hope of finding him.

Hi everyone
Gail, it was my wedding anniversary yesterday too--9 years this time (25 with last one) Not everyone remembered and o/h wasn't too pleased, think there might be some problem there but i'm not asking, as long as he remembers I am not worried. Difficult with 2nd marriages to know when to hold your tongue!!.
well I have done another instalment of my wall painting but being very good and not pushing it.
Got a very busy few days coming up so having to take things a bit careful.
Kerry what you have done for your daughter will pay back 100 fold, congrats to her on her results too.
Ann have a good holiday
Kathy your son sounds very reminicent of my step-son, I could scream sometimes
Carolina, I found something out via Genes, a long story with a mixed ending, I never expected to find skeletons but you never know.
Love to everyone else

Deanna Report 2 Apr 2008 17:56

Janet I loved that story about your dad.... Donald duck! LOL
That is the type of thing that I would love to happen to my loved ones.
If there is a life hereafter.... then I will be laughing my *wings off*...

And is it the same Janet?
IT WAS NOT EVEN A JANET........
SORRY EILEEN!
I am such a nutter. ;-0)
The story about the police car and the ashes.... it was someone else's mother... but sorry I can't remember whose mum.....

Whoever it is will you remind me please?

What I was doing Janet is saying that MY MUM.... would not have been pleased.... no way.
And the NHS DOES provide towels, but most people take their own in... but my mum..... wanted her better towels in public. ;-0)

Tell you what Janet.... had she given the other ones (the ones which were not good enough for public scrutiny) to me
They would have been the best towels in my house!!

Allan came to bed last night at the same time as usual, but got up again 1/2 hour later!!
Stayed up and watched TV.... and came to bed late.
*but he is not upset* you understand!

Hope all you and yours are doing well.
I don't mean to ignore anyone in here. I just have so much to read when I come on
and the thread is usually on page 6,090!!

Chin up all of you, we all have our up and down days....
get yourself some iron tablets... and your down days will be fewer!! ;-0)

Carolina.... that is such a sad story.
was he very upset?
I know that the lies told us by our elders can cause dreadful pain when we find out as adults......
Will he be able to have the certificate now?
Or will he have to start searching if him?

Good luck to you both.
