Debbie - get some medical help now sweetheart - it won't be the first time your GP will have heard of problems like yours, the sooner you get them sorted the sooner you will feel better - you owe it to yourself and your little one to do something about it, so please say you will.

Kerry, with regard to your daughter going to the festival, I would say that if you trust her to be sensible and she has sensible friends with her, then let her go - tell her that you have complete trust in her and that you know she won't let you down - and I'm sure she wont.

Liz - seems your counsellor is a very caring person and I'm sure she wouldn't let you down unnecessesarily, just one of those things. Just hang in there till she comes back off holiday - it's not that long and you'll be back on track

Hi gang, I am here, aw thanks for missing me Gill. I meant to post as usual this morning but got sidetracked. Then I thought I would do mince and onions for shepherds pie for tea, then I got it into my head to vacuum the back room. I'm completely exhausted now, my sister was here for ten and we spent day on family tree, until I made a fool of myself. She was looking in a book for something while I tried to find something else on computer, when she looked up I was fast asleep, sat there with mouse in my hand. Ever felt stupid?

Debbie, 2 year olds are not the easiest at the best of times, if you are not well, which by the sound of it you aren't, he will pick up on it and play up. That makes you worse and before you know it you are shouting as you have said. It sounds like you have depression and need to see your doctor, he will help you, you can't do it on your own. We are here for you, and will listen, so any time you want to get things off your chest, go ahead. There is usually someone here most of the time so don't be alone, just put the thread up and shout, someone will answer

Liz that piece was great that you posted, can't wait for postman to come, it makes a lot of sense and I will certainly tell the rhumatologist about my jump legs now, wouldn't have thought about it otherwise.
Brother in law has just turned up so must go, see you all later.

Debbie - your boyfriend obviously doesn't realise the strain you are under - your GP will understand, so please make an appoointment to see him!!!

As Caz says, everyone on this thread will listen to you and give you all the help they can, but in this instance the ball is in your court

Debbie, please come on here and talk to us. Lots of people to help you and listen here. Two year olds can be very wearing especially if you also have a five year old. Please pluck up courage and go and see your doctor, you wont be the first he/she has seen with this problem.

((((hugs))))

Carole Report 25 Mar 2008 22:05

Elaine the diazapam will make you light headed. It's a relaxant! A couple of weeks on them and then just the citalapram will be enough to take the edge off. Take each day one at a time for now. xx

Debbie welcome to our thread x I can't add anything to what the other ladies have already told you. You have to see your doctor or tell your boyfriend. May be he would even go to the doctor with you. Your children will pick up on your moods be brave and don't pass your upset on to them. I'm sure your two year old is a lovely little boy, just try to sort yourself out and you'll see him in a better light. My daughter was a very difficult child I didn't always like her, but did always love her!! Now she is 25 and a sweetheart.xx

I managed to get to work okay again this morning. My sister text while I was on the way home that my mum was having to go to A&E with Dad as he was in so much pain in his hip. So oh and I went to hospital to sit with mum. four hours later Dad is going to Gainsborough Hospital to be cared for as he can't sit up and mum can't look after him ( he is paralised by stroke down right side and has no speech) while he is like this. It will do mum good to have a break. She can't drive so will rely on me and my sister. Knackerd so early night for me!! xxx

Love to you all xx take care

Hi all, Debbie I hope you are feeling a little better with knowing you have somewhere to come when you are feeling low. I do hope you will make that appointment with your doctor, you will be surprised at how quickly you start to feel more able to cope.

I wont be here today ladies, it's my hospital appointment and it is usually an all day job, traipsing round different departments.
Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all. Didn't sleep at all well last night. Thoughts of dad going over in my head. Every noise in the house seemed so loud. My sister is taking some things dad will need over to the hospital where dad has gone. I'm going tomorrow. Mum lives in the opperset direction so I'll have to do 11 miles to fetch her then go past my house to get to where dad is in another town. The break will do her good I hope. First time in four and a half years she hasn't had to look after him.
Well have to get ready for work talk later

Debbie please make that appointment xxx

good morning people. The trip into town doesn't seem to have done me any harm so maybe I am on the mend at last. Just wish the last tiny little spot (& it really is tiny) would heal and stop weeping, it is more of an inconvenience than anything. still using the antibiotic the doc gave me last Thursday & have started on the bio oil now, expensive but lovely oil.

Hi Gill, you seem brighter today, you OK?

hello Betty good to see you on here. Carole, i hope your Mum benefits from the rest and that your Dad gets better soon.

YCaz hope all goes well at hospital today.

OH's 'man flu' seems to be improving, separate beds again last night so a good nights sleep, he slept well too apparently, no coughing. Hope it is on the way out.

hello Ann

Yes thanks I am feeling a bit better today, last time I said that I got kicked for it but I am going to see if I can stand the pace today.

If it is such a small dot that's weeping Ann why don't you ask Dr for an antibiotic powder - it might help dry it off.

Hope your day is a good one.

Hello Everyone,

I have`nt been on for a while!
Well I went to the hospital for my kidneys scanned, been told they are on the small side, but starting to function properly again. Dr is not to worried, had more bloods taken for Thyroid checked. The thyroid is starting to be working a bit better, I am being put on a small dosage of Thyroxine to see if it helps me perk up stop me feeling lethargic. I still sleep quite a lot between 12/14 hrs a night..I know I am still not ok as I still get easily tired, It won`t help either with me full of Flu, Coldsores & ulcers in & around my lips.
The Dr was really worried a couple of month ago as she said the blood test on my Thyroid was over 8..Does anyone know what that means?

I have to go back in 5 wks for more bloods taken, See the Dr in 6wks to check the meds are helping.
Oh will be nice to feel well in myself for once!

Hi
Gill, when i saw the doc last week he gave me a different antibiotic ointment to the hospital one and it does seem to be working albeit slowly. glad you feel more 'up' today.

Linda, hi, no i don't know what the 8 signifies, why don't you ask when you next go. i have found that if you don't ask they don't tell you but if you do they do (if you see what I mean). Thyroxine should make you feel better, i have a friend on it, she was always tired before she took it but is great now (she is in her 70s). The cold will make you feel low and not doubt, because you are a bit low the cold symptoms will be worse. good that your kidneys are functioning better though. hope the improvement continues.

Debbie, don't belittle yourself by thinking this will just go away, it could get worse, please see a doctor, at least to talk about how you feel.
Carole, I do hope your dad is feeling better and that your mum is 'enjoying her break' she maybe doesn't realise she needs one till now.
Elaine, sorry to hear you are still feeling rough, but don't push it take your time in getting better.
