RutlandBelle Report 12 Dec 2007 18:36

I am trying to trace some former evacuees who came to the above village during WW2. We are having a village reunion next year and hope to invite former residents. We already have over 300 old photos and are looking for memories etc.
The names I have been given by Denis Owens who lived in the village at that time are: Jimmy Hubert; Harold Oliver; Ron Oliver; Ann Stephenson and Sita Darnley.
I have looked for the names on here and except for Sita Darnley, to whom I have sent a message in the hope of a connection, there are too many similar names to decide if it is the right person. This message is also posted on the 'Trying to Find' board and I have also sent an e-mail to the Evacuees Association.
Any other suggestions for finding these people gratefully recieved

Many thanks Jennifer
