Had annual check today and was told it is so old isnt energy efficient anymore and the fact that we have two appliances in same room sucking in oxygen isnt good for us.

Makes sense and we have wanted to move it to kitchen anyway as we could then move the wood burner to the main chimney and make it a focal point.

He put me onto the department to arrange for people to come round for quote which I did and then just asked if they did any grants as I was on benefit.

She asked what I was on and then gave me the phone number for company that does grants on behalf of government and told me if they could help phone back and cancel the appointment I made.

We qualify for the grant but am still keeping appointment with British Gas as I will then have something to compare to if we go over the grant limit.

Just shows if you dont ask you dont get.
