Have had 2 examples myself today of the current stupidity in the world.

1. My grandson as some know has a little band and they are playing a gig on Saturday in an under 18 , alcohol free, club. I am informed today that I will not be allowed in, or the parents, unless we hold the certificate allowing us to work with young people

2. My middle daughter is holidaying in Mauritius and her dog sitter rang me to report a major leak from the bathroom, with ceiling in danger of collapse. Dog sitter rang emergency plumbing insurance number. They wont talk to her because of privacy laws as she is not the policy holder and they wont talk to me either. What a wonderful world we live in.

PS Dogsitter said its all the same in New Zealand.
