Member Since: October 2003 Posts: 861 Send Message	Hot water boiler started dripping - we have to keep it on lowest setting so water is 'warm - verging on cold'......phoned plumber who has looked after us for over 20 years - he has retired & signed business over to his son.......plumber called - we need a new part and it will be ordered and we will be phoned when it is in stock........two weeks go by - we phone (answer machine - leave message)....three weeks go by - we phone (answer machine - leave mesage)....four weeks go by - we say 'please phone us and let us know progress or we will have to go elsewhere'.....no reply. We go elsewhere......they come out on the first day - THIS LOOKS GOOD - we need a part and he phones on mobile from our house - part is available but he thinks it is expensive.....leave it with him....a week goes by.....they have been trying to get the part cheaper, without sucess, but it is available at full price within a day - say 'go ahead'.....a week passes - phone - part on order but will take a 'few days' - another week goes by........NO PART - NO PLUMBER - NO HOT WATER......NO WAY.............
