Anybody else caught up in this?

Mother-in-law is in complete darkness, no street lights, nothing, son has just gone to sit with her. Daughter out and about in Swinton says all street lights and traffic lights have gone out and her friends boyfriend in Manchester City Centre says traffic lights have gone out.

I live five minutes outside of city centre Manchester and luckily everything is still on, although the lights and telly had a bit of a flicker before!

I am charging up the laptop in case everything goes, and it can keep me company. OH and youngest son away in Australia, eldest granny sitting and daughter out - so just me.

Hope everyone else is okay.

Best wishes

Carol
