Problem printing - please help

I'm not very good at explaining things but will do my best...
I can get everything set up correctly for printing but when the print preview comes up it shows the page is too narrow yet I set it at A4 210mm size the length I have cusom setting to quite long as I'm not sure how much paper it will use as I have listing paper set up in my printer so it will be one continous printout instead of having to stick all the pages together. It also says I have 18 pages to print yet when I click on each page maybe about 8 are all okay with family members on but the rest are completly blank. any ideas please?thanks, Linda
