Wilf I know I had a problem trying to find my great grandfather on the 1901 census, I knew his name was Albert and his wife rose because I had his marriage certificate and birth and my mum new him as albert. eventually I found his wife on the census her husband was written down as Alfred. So there are so many mistakes made on census`s that I should imagine they make the same mistakes on certificates. Debra
