I don't know how you feel about treading on toes but surely the best thing to do is find someone who knew your dad at the time, a best friend perhaps. This is at the risk of possibly upsetting members of your family who may have been affected.

can anyone help me with my problem, my dad passed away 3 years ago leaving me with the knowledge that I had a brother named steven whos' mother was called Lily and they lived in the west country. The boy would have been older than me, but don't have a clue what year, don't know her surname either. Any suggestions as to what to do next would be gratefully appreciated.
