Has this wonderful device now been 'got at' so that it can no longer show us ID Nos. grouped together and lovely useful things like that? Very few, possibly none, of the 75 or so names that were result of a search had consecutive ID Nos. after being processed by the decoder. Seems a bit fishy to me. Rosi Colchester ESS

Rosi Are you looking at the PAGE IDs or the PERSON IDs? I have just checked my family names in Manchester and they can still be sorted by PERSON ID into consecutive numbers. It is the PAGE IDs that have been got at. Something to do with taking out the Piece and Folio nos, it has effected them. I use the Lancs List DeCoder. Vera, Manchester LAN

Thanks Vera, It seems to be the personal ID that's not right - but - maybe there was never a family with more than one Charles Jefferies born in London alive in 1901. I will try agin without the Christian name! Rosi Colchester ESS
