I hear the Brits rail at the high cost of maintaining the Royal Train. C'mon folks...aren't you forgetting it does a fair bit of dusting as Her Maj drags it down the aisle. Colin Abbott. Western Australia.

Hello Vivien, Hope you are having a wonderful time in Italy. Simon Crean survived a challenge from Kim Beazley. Simon won by a very healthy margin and so continues as Leader of the Opposition. Unfortunately, he has a very poor approval rating in the polls (in other words, he's not very popular). Many Australians believe he couldn't lead a dog to a bone, let alone lead the Labor Party to government. I wouldn't be surprised if there were to be another challenge some time next year. I spent one day in San Remo in about 1959 and that's all I ever saw of Italy. It seemed very pleasant. There are many Italian migrants here in Australia. They are very industrious and usually build rewarding lives for themselves and their families. That's all, best wishes to you Vivien, Colin Abbott Jarrahdale Western Australia.
