I am now hooked along with several others to GC I have only been tracing my ancestors for four weeks and I have been able to trace 177 of them, just out of interest who has the most family in theirs, lets start at 300. From Sue...............

clare when you click on your name is states you have 1266 in your tree not 1255 Shelli

There is, apparently, someone on Genes who has over 17,000 names in their tree. I invited them to make themselves known a couple of months ago, but I think they must be shy.

Susan How have you managed to get so many in just four weeks?? I started in January and only have 68 on GC and eighty something on my 'proper' tree - and that includes 3 'living' generations (mine, children and grandchildren). Lynne sale CHS

I agree Ann,I keep a page for each person noting their parents and children etc. and their occupations and where I found the information. I use loads of paper and ink.I print off maps of the areas I'm not familiar with. Each person has a story to tell! June, Preston.Lan.
