GenesConnected should say right up front that the service is not really free and that they have a minimum payment of 5 quid at the turnstyle - if you manage to arrive when there is a "special!" The data entry procedure needs some work too. Kiwi Konnexion

Oh Donald I think you may have just opened a can of worms. Where does it state that GenesConnected is free? Where else can you get help from hundreds of people just by posting a message - and for FREE? Where else do you find wonderful people who will do some of your searching for you, then take the trouble to give it to you - for FREE? Where else can you find a site whose admin team listen to their members and act accordingly? Compare the difference between the £7 for a certificate and the £5 fee for GC - definitely better value. I could go on but I am sure that there are members out there that would like their turn to defend their GC club!! Carry on chaps & chappesses. Vera Manchester LAN

I think the £5 is extreemly good value. This site has helped me so much with my research I have posted on other sites for a few years and not got as many results as I have with Genes in a few months. On no other site are people as friendly and helpful and I got a lot of help and info without full membership, now Im a full member its even better.
