Laurie Report 23 Sep 2003 21:10

Hi, The menu looks good to me. Sunday will be a real problem for me. Sat 6th is probably the best date for me. Isobel, I live in Nuneaton and I'm sure there are some more on this site from Coventry but I don't think they have been on this board. Laurie

Ros, We had a super holiday thanks despite a 7 hour flight delay on the way back. Still we were taken to a hotel for luch so it wasn't too bad. We go again on 3 October for 2 weeks so would like something settled here before that if possible. Menu sounds good. Thanks for getting it. Do you think those who are interested could now come up with a date before we all start getting the calendar filled up for Christmas events etc? Somebody make a list of their available dates then thos of us who are interested can see if we can fit in with them. I think we need to really get going now, although if there are fewer than 6 of us we don't need to book, anyone mind if I have Tony with me as he will drive me preferably? He can always go walk about while we chat. This will push us to the top again. Ann Glos

Laurie, If you are still talking about Webbs the 6th December looks ok to me at the moment. Have some of the messages disappeared, I can't find my original ones. I only came back from holiday at 3am this morning so haven't caught up yet. I definitely would not make Cambridge or Norfolk I'm afraid. I have now found the previous mesages so forget I said that. The 7th also looks ok to me. By the way Webbs always have a superb display of Christmas decorations etc. Ann Glos

Hi everyone, Sorry I,ve been so busy I haven't been on the site for ages. I'm fairly easy on where we meet. A weekend would be better for me as it'll be hard for me to get someone to help with my kid's if midweek. What about Sat 6th December? I'm just thinking I'm not too sure what the trains run like here on a Sunday. Laurie

JackyJ1593 Report 14 Sep 2003 16:12

To Louise - Webbs is a venue suggested by someone - a large Garden Centre / gift shop / restaurant junction 5 off the M5. A good venue for people who will use M40, M42, M5 or M6. Not sure about trains to the area. I can collect up to 4 people from Solihull, Shirley or Birmingham International or somewhere on route. Mid week would be better as by December all the family visits will be getting under way at weekends. Jacky

Have got some info from Webbs, will get back later, in the middle of decorating. Ann is away until Tues I think, but early Dec would suit me pref a Monday, but am fairly flexible. Ros

Janet Report 14 Sep 2003 12:57

Hi all and Liz/Rosi As no one seems to want to be definate - Webbs (where ever that is? - perhaps the person who suggested it can give more details) and dates either Sunday 7th December - lunchtime OR Wednesday 10th December - lunchtime. Have just picked 2 random dates early December so as hopefully avoid the Christmas panic. So lets have some response to either the weekend or weekday one. Come on Laurie it was your idea so what do you think. Janet

Well come on, you Mercians. One of you pick a date and then you can discuss it. If you all wait for each other you may well wait forever. Good luck Jim
