Thanks Colin. I have your e-mail and have printed out the article to act upon when I have finished here.I am very grateful. I bought the PC for my 75th birthday, 5 years ago. I spent the first week learning to switch it on then off. Now try to learn something new each week. I understand it staves off dementia - if you don't use it, you lose it Cheers Len

Len, In case you don't get Colin's email..... If you really don't want to install Macromedia's Flash plug-in and you do not want to see these security warnings, here are the steps you need to follow: Start Internet Explorer. Select Tools, then Internet Options. Click on the Security tab and then select Custom Level. Disable the option "Download signed ActiveX controls." Then click OK and restart IE for the changes to take effect. Now you won't be bothered with these security warnings when you hit a Macromedia-enabled site. You also won't be able to download any plug-ins at all. If you want plug-ins but don't want to see the alert, choose the Enable option instead. Keep in mind that enabling downloads for signed ActiveX controls reduces the security of your browser. The preferred method of eliminating these warnings is to go ahead and install the plug-in. Colin I checked my e-mails a short while ago. Has one from Sue but yours had not yet arrived. I use Norton Virus Scan and Firewall. Was updating twice a month until August when I started doing it every Friday. A scan shows no infection. Will go back to my inbox now Len
