VerifierBug.class Trojan Horse virus

Colin I did a search on google for the verifierbug, came up with a few. Norton seemed to have sorted it. Just wondered what sort of damage it could do Margaret |

Ann As Verifier appears to be a windows file I am wary of deleting part of it in case windows doesn't run properly. Norton has quarantined it and another scan shows it is not there any more. After some research on the net it appears to be a problem with Java that introdces the bug. I am just interested to find out more. Symantec (Norton) should be getting back to me within 48 hours. I just can't understand why the bug doesn't appear on Norton's list of viruses and trojan horses. Margaret |

My Norton Anti Virus just picked up this on my computer during a routine scan. It quarantined it and I have reported it to Symantec. I have looked on the Symantec website and can't find it listed at all. I think that Verifier is a windows file, am I right? Does anyone know anything about this virus? Margaret |
