	Hi Frances. Quit while you can or you'll soon be as mad as the rest of us. However if you insist on joining the throng I suggest a simple "How to" type book, usually available at all good bookshops as they say. Should cost about a fiver. Alternatively buy a Family Tree Magazine which has a simple guide to beginners inside the cover. Remember you are 'doing' genealogy with the help of the internet and it's not a whole new ball game. Go from what you know and the very best to you. If any of us can help post a massage on the tips board and we'll all pitch in (I will anyway) Good hunting

Then you can always check 1901 census (on links at bottom). If stuck you can always put something on tips board. Dave
