Badger Bill The flashing lights people are complaining about are the ads at the top and the side. I had them at first, and they drove me mad, but it so happened that two days ago I updated my Internet Security to Norton Internet Security, and there is a pop-up and flashing ad blocker. I enabled this, and they disappeared! Which is why some people see them and others don't! It all depends on the type of Internet Security you have. I used to have Norton Personal Firewall and Norton Anti-virus. Janet

Hi all Will make no comment re new site, as yet. However, what are these flashing lights? I am not suffering this problem. Could it be that because the background is now white, some are experience a "flicker" problem. If so, reset your refresh rate to a higher setting. That will probably cure it. Badger Bill, Worthing

Hi Again, What I can't understand is why they felt the need to change the site, I logged on to the friends reunited site and that hasn't changed. Laurie

Someone sent me this tip - I tried it but didn't like the result so changed back again. Just thought it might help! "Go to your Desktop Click on My Computer Control Panel Display Settings Your screen area setting should be on 800x600 or 1024x768. Mess about a bit by sliding the settings pointer across and click OK. You will be prompted for confirmation and your computer will blink for a second. Now view a Website with your new setting and see if its more comfortable for you. If not try another setting. Don't worry, it's very easy to restore your original setting just by repeating the process." You can only try! Dierdre X

I would have thought they would have asked their customers first before changing to a new look, they have just sprung it upon us and its not what we want. I have had enough already and I havnt been on her long stupid flashing things. surely they cant say they have to stay because we never used to have them. The members board is empty this must say something as to why its empty? fed up Debbie

hello everyone i know theres alot of hard work gone in to the site but i for one canot stand the smaller writting as it gives me a headache if the writting was slightly bigger i probably could adjust to the rest of the site even though im so used to flitting from members board to the other boards which know as made it harder work

I first saw the new GC last night and soon gave up cos it was so slow. Today it has got much better and I, at any rate, like the new colours better. Is it possible that those ppl who have a problem have got the brightness too high?

I agrree with you about the white. It's hard work for me & I'm not even dyslexic! I tried to change it under 'tools' 'options' but it doesn't change :o(.

Much more difficult, you can't hop around the boards now. Such a shame as obviously a lot of effort has been put into improving the site. Unfortunately it doesn't work as well - and the white is just too hard on the eyes.

Hi, I haven't been on the site for a while, but I'm not keen on the new set up. Is it me or is it more awkward to navigate round? Laurie
