Hi Christine... I don't think its too late! All those listed above are coming as far as I know....about 26 of us. A few of us girls are meeting at Waterloo Main Line station to travel together to Guildford, and you'd be welcome to travel with us if you'd like to. Dierdre X |

Should I book in advance, order my food etc? Does the train go through Worcester Park? that would be good for me? I also need to find out if I can get the afternoon off of work. Chris |

Chris, If you'd like to come, email Jim Weatherall (above) so he can add you to the list. Then go to the Guildford Menu thread that Michele has running and choose what you'd like to eat. We are meeting at Waterloo at around 11 a.m. so it may mean the day of work if you want to travel with us. Sorry, but I have no idea if the train goes through Worcester Park. If you can come and would like to meet up with us at Waterloo, let me know and I will give you the details. Dierdre X |

Chris The Guilford train doesn't go through Worcester park, but you can get a bus from Worcester park to Surbiton station where you can join the fast train to Guilford. takes about 20 mins I think (I haven't got it since I was at school so I may not be right). or its about £5 in a taxi. Hope you all have a fab time - REALLY wish I could make it - maybe next year I can arrange my chritsmas holidays with mum around the meet up rather than around christmas day. Zoe |

Anyone know if the Guildford train goes through/stops at Ascot? I would prefer not to drive but there is no direct way from here (south side of Heathrow). Taxi is out of the question - it cost £35 when my daughter had to take a taxi to visit her daughter in hospital in Guildford. Kathleen I am not in Ascot, would get the train from Ashford or Staines. |

Hi Christine....don't know what time your train is arriving. Ours from Waterloo gets in to Guildford at 11.59 a.m. If you like we can meet you there and all find our way to the George Abbott together. Maybe even get a cab? Think someone mentioned it was a 15 minute walk! Dierdre X |

Christine, my train should get into Guildford at about the same time as yours (might even be the same train!). I shall carry a little teddy bear - just hope that there isn't anyone NOT going to the lunch who arrives at G'ford station carrying a bear!! I have Deidre's mobile number so should be able to meet up at the station. Will look out for you. Kathleen |
