So pleased you all enjoyed yourselves, as of course I guessed you would. I was very disappointed not to be able to get there after all, especially as Yvonne & Sandra were kind enough to offer me a lift. Car is now back but really could do with a new one, this one is nearly as old as me!! I'm sure the staff were delighted to have such a happy crowd of customers. Kathleen

Thanks for organising it Sue it was a great 3 hours (for me) no doubt a lot longer for you as you were still there when we left. It was good to meet Marly, Debbie Yvonne, Jill, Marian and yourself Sue, not forgetting Debbie's family and Yvonne's Sandra who kept Tony amused. (Should I rephrase that?) Who kept Tony company. Kathleen So sorry you won't be able to make it today. I emailed Yvonne last night so hopefully she will have checked her emails this morning before setting off. Everyone Whoever arrives first should try to 'bag' the alcove in the non-smoking area and ask if they would put the tables together to seat 10 to 12 of us. See you all soon! Sue

Kathleen Report 14 Nov 2003 22:34

I do hope that someone will see this and will be able to let Yvonne know. My wretched car broke down this evening - has had to go for repair and won't be ready until tomorrow afternoon, so I won't be able to make Chieveley. I have sent an e-mail through GC but that is not reliable - they did not send me Yvonne's e-mail!! Had hoped that it would be fixed in time but I suppose it was expecting too much. I am so disappointed but c'est la vie!!! Hopefully there will be another time. I hope you all have a lovely time. Kathleen
