Decision-time re where we're going to meet. Our 'lady on the case' is off to do a recce and would like to know whether to choose Clifton or stick with somewhere not far from Temple Meads (where parking is good). Less likely alternatives also mentioned are a picnic on the Downs or fish and chips on a park bench. Seriously, though, asap Clifton or near TM? Sue PS - Debbi and Marly .... desperately tried to think of something to add, but failed!

Hi I am back (11.30 last night so back but not awake. Temple Meads seems best as Clifton would be very busy, Saturday and near Christmas. Does anyone know where the car park is at Temple Meads? We only know the One by @ Bristol (the hands on museum) and the one next to (I think) the Jarvis hotel. I looked at the website for restaurants in Bristol and there are loads but I don't recognise the roads. There is a Weatherspoons in Corn Street wherever that is. Has anyone come up with an idea yet? your last message made me feel 'green' with envy as it was better than mine..really the'cream' of the crop. I think that when i 'red' your post i was tickled 'pink' that you bothered to go to such lengths.....i think that we should definatly 'orange' a meeting whilst you are in bristol..yes that would be 'blue'ming marvellous...a quick'yellow' a cup of 'coffee' and then a walk round 'grey'veyards would be great. get 'black' to me asap lol debbi ps sue sorry for all this.....once you start and all thati just hope we will all 'white' in the future

There is a new one at Portway which would suit us but I couldn't find out on the webb site where the buses go to. (or to where the buses go!!) It said 'click for information on the left, but there was nothing to click. Ann Glos

i don't want to interfere but if you all get into the galleries carpark or even better frogmore street you will access some excellent restaurants where you gan have your reunion and don;t bother with park and ride. November won.t be all that manic. Who is the kNIGHT connection in Bristol? Best wishes pam brawn If you need directions let me know [email protected]

Sue

Sue Report 22 Oct 2003 18:07

Hi Pam - You're not interfering in the least! Would you like to join us? Your suggestion sounds very sensible - thanks. I don't know whether Ann Knight has connections in Bristol - hopefully she'll look at the thread again and contact you. Sue

Peter Report 23 Oct 2003 06:49

Unfortunately it is just a little too far for me to be able to join you but re a meeting place I used to know a great pub called The Mile Three (3 miles out of Bristol would you believe!!) Mind you this was nearly 50 years ago but I expect it is still there. I also used to know another place but I wouldn't want to subject you lovely ladies to it so will keep the memory to myself! No, unfortunately no Knight connections in Bristol as far as I know, out Knight connections are in Dorset and Devon so far. I am attending Bristol because it is fairly near to Gloucester. Ann Glos
