Hi Sue, Ref your Keynsham relative. I think you are talking about Oliver Keeling I don't know if he used to be involved in waterproofing mac's, but there is still a sign up mentioning his name. It is now called Composeal and manufacture( or sell), we think, waterproofer for cement. It would appear that the house might still be there as well. Daves going to have a look tomorrow Sally & Dave

That's great Sally/Dave, and so kind, thank you. I'm not sure what Auntie Winnie's husband's name was (although I thought it began with G, which probably means Oliver is right!). If Dave can give me a couple of house numbers as alternatives I'm sure either Mum or I will immediately remember which one it was. Sue

Sally I've no idea I'm afraid - I was only 5, 6, 7 or 8-ish!!! All I remember is that it was on the left-hand side going away from Keynsham. I have some photos somewhere, but they are only of the back garden. I think it was a bay-fronted house but can't be sure. I'll ask mum and see if she has any photos. I think the front door may have been at the side, but of course even if it was, it may not be now as it was nearly 50 years ago!! Another guess would be that looking over the wall we'd have looked at the middle of cricket pitch, but that really is a guess. Sue

Hi Sue, It would appear it could be no 43. It hasn't got a steep drive but it's the right hand side of a pair of semi's. It is the only pair of semi's overlooking the cricket ground. sally

Thanks Sally - I'll ask mum. I thought it began with a 5 but I could be confusing it with another old address!! Sue

Hi Sue, Dave was having a grey moment, he thinks he may have worked the numbers out wrong. You could be right. Daves going to take a picture of the sign and house, on the digital camera, he will then try and send it to you. He is new to technology so don't hold your breath. sally

I did that a while ago (Google). There is a girl in Keynsham Young Farmers (or was) who is/was a Keeling but she didn't think she was connected, but that was 7 or 8 years ago when my daughter was in Bath YF. She was going to ask her father but I never heard anything
