Hotel are letting us stay for a bit extra as we will have to hang around the airport for ages and I don't think Vicky is quite up to that! Will be home within the next 24 hours - as soon as I get on the plane my watch is going forward 6 hours! :-)love maxxx Max in Houston, Texas (15/11/2003 17:04:36) Hi Brian & ElisabethI will log on tomorrow to let you know I am home safe and well - I am so excited about getting home now. Vicky still has a way to go before she is fully recovered but I am sure she will get better more quickly when we are home - even when she goes back to school no sport or games for 3 months:-(maxxx

Been "speaking" to Max tonight. It's great to hear her so cheerful and excited about coming home. Told her to make sure she takes it easy when she does get home and to forget about racing around London helping all and sundry. Margaret

Crista - thanks for keeping us upto date,it must be very hard for Max,Vicky and her dad. Please tell her that we are all hoping for a speedy recovery and return to England and to chat when she can and is up to it. It must be very difficult for her trying to take in all thats going on over there, worrying about the other drivers lawyer and what he's got planned or not!!And her mum and Jason over here. We appreciate its difficult for her and if we don't hear from her for a while, could you just pop in and update us everynow and then. Loads of love to all Jude xx

Max and Vicky are doing much better now. Max's head and back are improving and she's been checked out by the doctors. Vicky was up yesterday, and if the swelling on her ankle improves, she might be allowed to fly as soon as the weekend. They are holding some flights just in case. Re. the legal stuff, the insurance company is providing a lawyer and Max's dad met him yesterday. They will have to return to Houston when the case goes to court but that won't be for some time. Max did get to meet with her old school chum briefly but she said it wasn't really the sort of reunion they had hoped for. Crista

Don't usually look at the other boards as Tips board takes up my spare time, so only just read about Max and Vicky's accident. How awful! Best wishes to both of you.

Peter Report 12 Nov 2003 06:48

Hi Max Am so pleased to hear that Vicky is being well cared for - as I said to you earlier who needs a spleen anyway? Apart from getting Vicky up and running again are the staff there looking after you? You haven't said much about this - understandably - but all of us here worry about you as well as Vicky you know so try and get as much rest as possible, which you can do now that you have your dad with you. Love and hugs Peter
