Hello everyone. I just wanted to say thanks for providing me with such entertainment over the past few months. I came across this site and decided to leave a message regarding my search for my biological father. Messages came thick and fast with the suggestion of contacting Joan at "my folks" which I did. Well, they helped and came up trumps! I have since met my father who has made the decision that he doesn't wish to try and build a relationship with myself and my siblings and therefore in my opinion, misses out on so much joy and pleasure. His loss!!! Anyhow, what I am trying to say is that even though I have found what I have been searching for and knowing now that it's not all roses finding someone who takes up so much of your thoughts, I have found a site where there are people who are so helpful, informative, supportive and who have such a great sense of humour that I have occassionally belly laughed! I have recently agreed a sale on my property and am now expecting to be moving overseas in the new year with my husband to start a new life and business. This means that I will not be visiting this site for several months after xmas as I will not have access to the internet and will travelling around SW France looking for property to invest in. My father does not know that we have a date for leaving the country but he was aware that it could happen at any time and the funny thing is, I don't care any more!! I have learn't over the months (partly from reading your messages on this site) that there are people who do want to spend time with me and even some strangers are more willing to make an effort to help someone in need than their own flesh and blood. Thankyou once again you mad yet caring lot and I will be about keeping myself amused by your messages until the new year. Have a wonderful xmas and "always look on the bright side of life". Happy thoughts. Jackie x

Jackie, Sorry things didn't work out between you and your father. Such is life but at least you're satisfied in your mind as to where each of you now stand. All the best to you in your new move. Andy.

Hi Jackie, I'm also sorry, regarding your father. But at least you'll feel a weight off your shoulders that you tried. Good luck with your move, and come back here when you can. Yes, we are a crazy bunch, but regard ourselves as one big happy family. Merry Xmas & safe journey. Mags xx

Hi Jackie I too am sorry that things didn't work out for you in the way that you might have hoped. However, I'm really pleased that you have come to terms with your disappointment in such a positive way, and wish you and your family the very best of luck in the future. Kindest regards Janet
